8/5 title: Missing the hook tape The screen looks very nice, heavy duty and durable. However, our package come only with screen and nothing else needed to install it. So my screen, while nice, is totally unusable. 8/9 we received the missing pieces from the seller and I installed immediately. It fit perfectly over our back sliding door. My 1yo kept going in and out to watch it close on its own - like magic!! Today we had so many less flies in the house! The screen secures by Velcro tape that is applied along sides and top of door frame. I will need to lower my top piece of tape (may need to buy new tape) to give a little more coverage at the bottom. I did measure before putting the tape up but couldn’t tell until I had already installed it thay the bottom will gap a little bit Bc it’s not attached. So if you have the edge of the screen too close to the top part of your bottom ledge (flush with the base) you will be left with an opening at the bottom where flies could still potentially get in. I haven’t done this yet, but would recommend moving it an inch or more down to get maximum coverage of the door area. In all though this is a great product and already helping us keep the bugs out! ... show more

Installed in less than one hour including cleaning the trim and glass door. Make sure you center the mesh so it attaches to the sides and top and leaves a fried clearance at the bottom. I would have given it a 5-Star but the last 3" on the bottom doesn't always close. I'm going to add a weight to the bottom nearest the magnet and see how that works. ... show more

It was a little bigger than our back sliding door but not a difficult fix. We were able to use the adhesive (that comes with a little extra too) and later add one tack in the corner above the magnetic strip due to the tension applied in that area from the dog. Just a little measuring and maybe a step stool and the average setup up is quite easy. Magnets work great and screen self closes 99% of the time. The bottom does not seal in order for this product to really work so don’t think this is as bug proof as a screen door. For the price, I’d say it’s a deal. Holds up well and magnets seal nicely, even when my two 70 lb boxers run in and out! 4 stars only because you need to order an inch wider than your door and 2-4 inches longer. If hanging inside your door frame I recommend buying 2 inches longer. Velcro is strong. Tacks are easy to hammer in to regular wood using a hammer lightly. I found I had to hang mine along the door frame outside to not interfere with the door sealing, which is why I had to reorder an wider and longer screen. Which then bring me to the second problem, if hanging along the outside and you have to use tacks on hardy plank, forget it! You need a drill bit to make the hole and then use wood screws to reinforce the screen's border. I used 3 screws up top, 4 screws along the side. If hanging inside the door frame, tacks are fine, and you don't need to use every single one in the box. This screen also doesn't rip when my dogs paw at it when they want me to open the door to let them back inside. I only gave it 4 stars because the recommend seller's measurements are not accurate, and because of this, I had to purchase two to get it correct. Thankfully, I was able to use the first one on my front door. Make SURE the opening lines up with the side your door nob! Favorite feature is the magnetic connections are to the side and not center. ... show more

Attention campervan fans. This appears to be a cost-effective solution to sliding- or back-door door bug screen needs. You need to MacGyver just a bit. After purchasing the correct width, we removed the bottom twill tape and cut to fit and re-attached the wrap-around bottom twill tape. We wanted the hooks on the SCREEN side, so that was sewn to cover up the loop tape on the three sides of the screen. We also wanted the hook tape to better match the interior of the van, so we purchased beige 3/4 inch velcro and stuck the hook side to the interior (which cost about as much as the screen itself!). Adhesion to the interior isn't bomb-proof, so peeling it off and on a lot is going to take some care. TIP: If your sliding side is wide enough, consider a double door screen opening model so that you can roll up the center section to get it more fully out of the way when you don't need it, but don't want to completely remove the unit. ... show more

I have used these magnetic doors for a few years now and you just can't beat it. It's a lot easier to leave the door open so your pets can go out without worrying about bugs getting in the house. I hate shutting the door because then they'd have to scratch to get in. I'd rather this give them the flexibility to come and go as they please. It's super sticky, people and dogs running in and out all day and its still going strong. There was also a learning curve for the pets but once you get them comfortable with it as you can see in the photo, there are zero issues. Highly recommend. ... show more
