Honey is messy... This roller reduces the mess of uncapping. This is the first time I have used this type of uncapper and I really like it. We are a commercial honey producer so we have larger uncapping machines but I still do some "family" hives with my 2 sons. There are still a lot of wax capping that comes out of the extractor so don't think that this will remove the clogged screens. Overall this is much more desirable over the uncapping knives both heated or cold. ... show more

Worked as advertised, however the nut securing the roller kept falling off because the nut came loose. Finally I tried to tighten the nut with a tool and the wire going into the roller snapped. It can't be repaired. It is useless now.

I am new to beekeeping but did not prefer this tool. It worked as it should, but I found it to be a bit messy and frustrating to use.

Works great, this tool has very little wasted honey, and very little wax is left to be filtered out of your honey. I capped , extracted and filtered 100 lbs of honey without having to stop and clean the filter.
