I'm pretty good at having realistic expectations and my expectations for this inexpensive manual umbrella were fairly low. I hoped that it would work a few times and then if it broke oh well. What I didn't expect was for it to break the first time I tried to use it. No wind, opened out of the rain in preparation to go into a light rain and the umbrella top came apart from the rod (?). I tried to put it back together with no luck, maybe it could have been done if I had tools but not sure of that even. So I never got to use it, had to put it in the trash as I was out of town and now needed to run through the rain, I wasn't going to carry around a broken umbrella so I could return it for a refund. My advice is to not risk it, get something different. ... show more

This umbrella is not a mini unbrealla at all. It seems to be full size and the materal is thicker than ones I have had in the past. Seems very solid and well made. I am impressed with it for sure.
