TLDR: Great little umbrella but don't expect it to last. There are some ultra-mini umbrellas out there that cost $80 and are super strong and durable. For the cost difference, I think this one is well enough for my needs. It's a good bright color, it has the same lining as my old one that was getting pretty ratty, and folds up small. But, still, it's a cheaply made item. You get what you pay for. The literal first time I tried to re-zip up the case after opening and closing the umbrella the zipper pull broke. I'm a 130 lb female with arthritic fingers, so it wasn't like I was pulling too hard. Everything about this feels a bit cheap and like it won't last more than a couple years of occasional use. So, if you're an occasional traveler looking for an affordable last minute 'oh no it's raining' umbrella, this might do you well, but if you're wanting this to be a daily use item, it'll probably wear out fairly quickly. ... show more

Haven't had a chance to use it in the rain yet, so I can't comment on the sturdiness. It seems pretty well made, and comes in a case slightly larger than a glasses case and it pretty lightweight

I bought this for my son on rainy school days. Loved that it was compact and would not take up lots of room in his backpack. But it broke after his third use. The arms of the umbrella twisted and broke in little wind. Would not recommend it if u plan to use it in rain.

Pros: It does block sun or rain, it's very light, folds very compactly Con: It gets turned inside out by the slightest breeze that manages to get directly under the umbrella. I'm probably going to have to buy another one when I visit NY. But every day that I have used this umbrella (I use it as a parasol in a desert climate area) it has turned inside out. ... show more
