Great basic alarm disc brake lock. There is no lock shut off. Just have to remove the battery if you don’t want the alarm. Sensitivity seems alright. Shaking around or if the lock was to slap the brake caliper it sounds off. Loud enough to get attention but not overbearing. Seems like a good deterrent, it’s very sensitive to the touch so if anyone jostles the motorcycle it’ll usually feel it and give off a warning beep and it’s definitely loud. Unlocking it can be a little tricky, you have to unlock it fairly quickly otherwise the motion will set it off, then everyone around thinks you’re stealing your own bike lol ... show more

I've owned and used this lock for an entire riding season. Its batteries have lasted that long, and have shown no indication of running out. It's small but heavy, and my god is it sensitive. Maybe that's the only thing I dislike about it is how oversensitive it can be- if I know it'll rain, I'll make sure to put it on the back wheel instead of the front wheel, because if the rain hits it, it will go off. It's been very sturdy, and I find I don't use the cable it comes with. It's so sensitive that if you even start opening up the tail bag casually instead of carefully, it'll beep at you. I live in an area where there are people around all the time, so I use it as more of a 'pay attention to me, I'm getting stolen!!' alarm than an actual theft deterrent. When I sleep, I leave my window cracked open. If anyone touches the bike, even the neighbor's cat, it'll chirp and I'll know to listen to see if it goes into full scream-mode. The alarm itself is pretty loud and piercing. It does hurt my ears up close, and it's *very* noticeable even several hundred feet away. (Definitely wakes me up at night when it rains and I forget to move it to the sheltered brake rotor on the back wheel!) Pros: -small, easy to store -very durable -loud -battery lasts long -water and weather resistant/proof -direction of unlocking twist (clockwise) means that if you mount it right, it's easier to unlock without going off Cons: -Can be oversensitive -Goes off in the rain -lock mechanism is beginning to get a bit stiff after one year of weather-induced neglect Would I buy it again? I got this alarm for my 2018 Grom. It is EXTREMELY loud. It will definitely draw attention and being close with the alarm going off honestly hurt my ears. Which I think is good sign that it will deter anyone who may attempt to take it. Others mention it is very sensitive but I have found that it only goes off when messing with the lock itself. I drove my vehicle close to my bike to test it, as well as walking past it and touching other parts of the bike(seat, handle bars, gas tank, squeezing break). Both times the alarm did not go off. If you don't enter your key correctly, then the alarm will go off which was annoying at first but If you master the technique to enter your key fast enough then it's great. As far as durability goes no one has attempted to slice it off but it is pretty heavy and seems like it will be able to hold up. I would recommend as additional layer of protection for you bike/motorcycle! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It's a little too good at its job. The slightest movement from wind will set it off. I have yet to find a way to unlock it without setting it off either. With that being said it's definitely loud and annoying. Slides right into the rotor just fine. Update: the company sent me an updated version that is much more useable. It's less sensitive so unless you really jolt the bike or try to move it forward, it won't set off. Very nice as wind is pretty frequent all Spring. The finish and key design is better too. This is the perfect deterrent if you're leaving your bike unattended away from home. It won't stop two guys in a van from picking it up and hauling it off but it will stop someone from simply walking away with it ... show more
