Finally someone thinks like me! I absolutely HATE the traditional DISH DRAINER,they are ugly, big and never look nice. THIS IS THE BOMB!!!, it was fun to put together, saves tons of space, (always go up, not out!) and looks great PLUS all those wet dishes drain all that water into the sink where it belongs!! and it study, spacious and just COOL to look at. I live in a small apartment, and wanted to find a way to dry my dishes without eating up half of my already very limited countertop. Lo and behold, Amazon to the rescue! What I like: it doesn't take up counter space, naturally. There is ample room for plates, silverware, and cups, there's even a cutting board hook/rack/thing. The structure that you assemble feels very sturdy and once it's put together and around your sink, there's no feeling that it might collapse on you without warning. The meh: there isn't a lot of storage here for pots/pans or anything that's fairly large in size. If you cook big meals, or use larger cookware, you're not going to be able to dry all your dishes on this. To that end, I got a roll-up drying mat to put over the sink for my bigger stuff. The not-so-good: the hooks feel really cheap, since they're just plastic. Also, the actual baskets you put your dishes in can shake around and wiggle, which doesn't really inspire confidence when you have heavy plates and lids on them! ... show more

I've been wanting to buy one of these for so long, and I was glad to finally be able to do so. My partner put it together, so I can't judge based on that, though it seemed easy to put together when I glanced at the instructions. I love that I can adjust it without issue and widen it if needed. The basket for the sponge and soap is great, and the dishes fit well in the upper baskets. The knives sit well in the knife holder as well. I was also happy to use some of the hooks on our shelf we bought since we didn't need so many for dishes. So far, my only complaint is that the things that secure it to the counter top don't seem to do so, but it stays fairly balanced, even with heavy pots and pans in the baskets. It also fits well enough that the water goes into the sink and not all over the counter. I just have to be careful since the handles of the pans stick out. ... show more

This drying rack has changed our lives..seriously. There are only two of us in the house so we wash and reuse essentially the same bowl and cutlery for every dinner. It made no sense to put those few items along with the pots we use almost daily in the dishwasher. We were hand washing with no where to dry and standing around towel drying was practical. This rack is sturdy, attractive and has just the right combination of racks for our utensils, pots and dishwater. We only use our dishwasher when we have company. Overall the build quality was okay although it didn't come with any tools to secure the bolts. Fortunately I had a wrench from my 3D printer that was the right size. Apparently gravity doesn't exist in whatever universe the poorly Photoshopped pictures come from. The racks definitely sag under any amount of weight. And the glass holder that it advertises isn't tall enough and hangs at a weird angle so any actual tall glasses will definitely fall off. And those have to be the smallest cooking utensils ever that they show hanging from the little hooks on the second row because there's only a 6-in gap between the top and bottom rungs. Overall I knew what I was going to end up getting from this so I wasn't disappointed or surprised. It works for my needs and I just keep the weight on it to a minimum. I was so surprised at how well this worked for my sink. It was easy to put together and it’s very sturdy. The top left rack is a little flimsy but that’s just because where we put it. We just put very lightweight stuff like small plastic bowls or lids there. The cubby on the bottom left where we put the dish soap and sponges is great. It doesn’t really get in the way either.
