The media could not be loaded. After stressing out researching, reading reviews, listening to various tongue drums with notes.... I'm sooo glad we picked this brand!! The video I attached does NOT do it justice. The sustain and pitch is sooo much clearer in person. Sound didn't translate well via cell video. We paid under $50 for this 12 inch/11 note drum! Tremendous value in our opinion. We also have the Beatrise 14 inch in D-kurd that we paid $150 for. Honestly I love them equally! Although they're both great instruments and have unique sounds... my husband actually prefers to play this one. Might buy a 10 inch! ... show more

Bought this for grandchildren. My 7 year old autistic granddaughter figured put a song the first day. The tone is soothing in a busy house of 7 people . Helps to calm adopted FAS and Meth affected granddaughter when she is out of control.

It is a great conversation starter too. Anyone who gets to see it always wants to try playing it. Very soothing sounds come from this. When using your finger, tap on the lines, not the numbers. The sound will be better. Easy to play well known children’s songs on or just make your own tunes. My ears love the way this thing sounds. The purple one is beautiful. The drum is solid. Tones are lovely, maybe 1 is a little tinny. But if you're buying this for kids, or you're not a concert drummer this is a great start. I love it! I use it during sound immersions/meditations and it's a great addition without breaking the bank. Two sets of mallets come with it so two people can play at the same time. Finger things also, which I don't use, so won't speak about, and a case. If they had a pocket for the mallets, that would have been great. I tested tones and they are spot on. This drum is great to play and it's hard to "make a mistake", musically. I do have some music back ground, so I understand how to play this. I could follow sheet music but it's of no concern to me to have. Also the tongues can be manipulated if need be, as explained in the directions. I did not need to. I was nervous about choosing a drum and held off but I'm very happy I hit the "go" button. If you become serious about hang/tongue drums but aren't sure, try this first, because it's easy, affordable, transportable, etc There are many other drums that are in different keys and sizes and can cost hundreds of dollars, so if you are just starting out, consider this. Plus with Amazon if you get a dud, which happens now and again, you can send it back. Win-win! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I shopped for a few weeks trying to choose just the right steel tongue drum and am so glad I chose this one. It came packaged securely. It has a very nice double zippered, padded bag that has a sturdy, comfortable handle and adjustable strap. Really is a great bag. Tongues/keys are numbered already but they do give you 2 strips of replacement numbers. Chunky rubber feet and a belly plug ( I have not tried to take it out yet.) and the key is on the belly marked with a D by the sound holes. With 2 sets of mallets, 2 sets of finger pads, and a little music book you are ready to play by yourself or with a friend. Our drum was pretty much in tune straight out of the bag. I leave it out on the ottoman and no one can resist stopping to play a bit before moving on to what they were doing. It is easy to learn ( from the book and by ear) and easy to make up your own beautiful, relaxing tunes. We never get tired of hearing it played. Very relaxing and de stressing. So glad I talked my husband into this one! Love this drum set. ... show more
