    • Gets the Job Done
These were slightly less expensive than buying a similar option at my local gardening store. The tray is, as some reviews claim, flimsy. I can easily see it breaking down after a few years use. Still, a few years is nothing to sneeze at, and unless it cracks right through, I see no reason not to reuse the tray. It's made of the same black plastic tray material you would get a bunch of plants at a nursery in. As someone who carried 5 of these inside and outside twice a day for 10 days, unstable is a better word than flimsy. They're fine sitting flat, but if you pick them up they do start to wobble. The tops are great, they are made of a slightly thicker clear plastic material and the air vents at the top are useful. I even repurposed the tops after I had most of my seedlings planted, and put them over a few sets of directly-sowen seeds in the garden to help create more warth to germintate them early this season- I have plenty of sprouts to prove it worked. Note, I live in California, so I did not contend with any harsh weather. I also didn't use any heating pads or grow lights with these, so I have no experience to report under those conditions. ... show more

    • Better than others I've tried!
I haven't actually put these to use, yet. But compared to some others I've actually used they seem to be more sturdy and thicker overall. I'm hoping that they will be good for at least two or three seasons of seed sprouting for my garden(s).

    • Good domes, could do better on the vents!
Overall the dome in the tray are pretty decent I don't like that the vents are black and loose, makes for a loose seal other than that they do the job.

    • Very nice trays, but very flexible.
I bought 5 of them, mostly for cuttings. My only issue is that if the tray has many plants in them, the tray will sag and the plants will all fall over when I move them. I keep a cookie sheet nearby for when I need to move them around.

I absolutely love the propagation dome , however the tray is a waste . If you are using the fact that it comes with a tray as a selling point ... you should give a decent tray ... It will add to your credibility and increase sales ..

these were a great idea however i would not waste your money on these. These are a standard 10x20 plating tray with out drainage that have been paired with a flimsy plastic top, i have bought take out food that has better containers than the material these are made of. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY unless price comes down to 20 bucks then you might think about it. ... show more

These are great except the dial vent seems to be a little loose and turns so easily that they don't always stay where you set them when taking the domes off and on.
