Get what you pay for. I could have saved a few dollars and purchased them at a local store however I was hoping they were thicker than what I found locally. Not terrible, just not thick and I do not believe that I will be able to reuse these.

I thought these would be perfect for what I needed. I typically purchase a seed starting hex kit but I only use the clear top during germination. I figured these would be great to transfer to after germination and start seeds if needed. Problem #1 is four of the trays came with a slit in them so they are not as sturdy as they could be. Problem #2 is my clear plastic covers do not fit on these trays as the trays are slightly larger than the clear plastic covers. I will be able to get one season of use out of them but not sure I saved myself any money as I had originally hoped. ... show more

When I opened up the shipping package I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be a very sturdy plastic tray, compared to the trays you can buy in the big box store ( my only frame of reference). I would highly recommend these trays for someone who's going to need to put heavy growers pots in a tray or move there trays around on a wire green house shelf. ... show more

They *looked* like they would be durable enough, but they were not. Very light, flimsy plastic. I suppose these would work if you used them on a bench and literally never moved them after filling them up; but whether filled with dry or moistened seed starting mix or garden compost, these will not take the weight AT ALL. They buckle when you pick them up; then they crack at the midpoint and then it's like watching the Titanic wreck in slow-mo, as your seedlings all hit the greenhouse floor. I've since looked up the type of seed trays Monty Don is seen working with on Gardener's World; they're a brand called Garland. Look them up and buy them whenever you can find them available in the states. That is a brand that's made of recycled plastic and they are STURDY as heck. Give any that look like the above a wide berth, they aren't worth the money they charged for them. The manufacturers should be ashamed - making such a product. If these go on sale I will assuredly buy more. Great for seed starting inserts. Good buy, good product. To be clear, these are on the thinner size, but that's how these are built for this price range and quantity.
