    • Adjustable lighting for laptops, phones and DSLR cameras
I ordered this kit primarily for the laptop light for use with online conference calls. My office is dimly lit, and this will definitely help make my Zoom calls look more professional. The laptop light/clip was easy to clip into place and is very secure. I had to slide the clip across the top a bit to figure out where the bottom of the mount wouldn't show on camera. Not a big deal, but some people might find it distracting to see it on the screen. There is also a wheel adjuster on the mount, if you prefer a more angled light. I liked how well this customized the lighting. The light controller plugs into the side of the laptop, allowing you to adjust the temperatures, tones and brightness easily by pushing the buttons. I like this feature in case you don't like the way the light looks on your face, you can discreetly slide your hand over and change it, even during a meeting. I was pleasantly surprised by how many options there are for the brightness with each of the three tones/temperatures. You can make it very, very bright or super soft. There is a small table-top tripod included with a phone mount, allowing you the versatility of using either your laptop or phone for video calls. There is also a mount for a DSLR camera, which is a really nice portable feature as long as you have a power source. The parts are made primarily of a medium weight plastic with some metal and rubber grippers at the touch-points of the tripod, camera mount and laptop mount. Very lightweight but seem fairly durable. A big plus to this is if you are traveling, the weight doesn't add much to your bag whatsoever. My only complaint was the lack of complete directions on how to use the product fully.     • A nice diffuse lightbar.
I got this to act as a table lamp for DIY projects on small electronics. The diffuse light is very nice as it reduces glare on components which is a nightmare with direct light when you're trying to read small lettering in a scope or magnifying glass. Unfortunately, the included stand to attach to a screen does not fit an LCD monitor, just designed for laptops, so it doesn't quite work for my use case, though it does include a mini tripod which I should be able to get to work, even if it's not ideal. Preferably I'd like to have the light about 2ft distant above the work area where it can reach wide enough to light the whole area. The brightness, though, may not be enough still for that use. However, using it with a webcam, it does a pretty great job without blinding you, so for that purpose, it's perfectly suited. The three different color values are great for adjusting your white balance, but you get three temperatures of white and that's it. No fine tuning. In the right hands, adjustments in computer software can help correct that, but this is basic, so don't expect miracles. Cool thing is that this doesn't need the controller cable if you just need light. Just plug in any USB-C cable connected to a 5v source and it comes on right away. However, if you want to adjust brightness or temperature, you have to use the included cable. All the circuitry is there, the light is just a dumb output so it won't hold a memory of temperature or brightness and will always output at the coolest temperature when using a straight USB-C cable. Not a bad purchase and plenty of mounts to get you started with whatever video project you might have, if you're into that. ... show more

This phone stand and light took a little trial and error to figure out how to put it together because it did not include instructions. I had to take it apart and put it back together based on what I needed it to do for me. This set-up does not include a camera, which is why I placed one star in the "camera quality" rating. it does have a VERY strong phone grip, which was nice because I knew it would hold my phone securely. The light was easy to figure out and had three different settings for soft, warm, and white light. My favorite feature was that each lighting mode could be turned up or down for a dimmer or brighter version of that mode. There were also two different stand options, one with a telescoping feature so it could be height adjusted. This was more useful for elevating the height of the light and not holding a phone very high because it became prone to tipping over due to the weight of the phone (I used an iPhone 14 plus). ... show more
