These are extremely comfortable, the inner lining is cozy yet does not cling, and is soft and pillowy without feeling at all loose or slippy. Because of the great lining, these come on and off easily, but also have genius Velcro wrist straps to secure them tightly if you're going to be in the cold long-term. The wires that create the heating are inside the gloves, but not in the layers you feel in any way- these feel just like a normal pair of incredibly comfortable gloves you can grip with, hold a snow shovel with, and make a tight fist in without even being aware there are wires in them. The buttons on the backsides of the hands are big and easy to push on or off while actually wearing the gloves, and they have bright, easily viewable LED light in them that let you know which setting you're at a glance. These preheat fast, in less than 5 minutes I was amazed by how warm they were, they actually felt so nice I want to just wear them around the house! After preheating the gloves go into a "medium" heat mode they can sustain for several hours, but you can ramp them back up to high if you need to in couple minute bursts, as well as a "low" setting that is still quite warm but maximizes battery life. Like I said, the buttons are big and easy to use while wearing these, manually adjusting the setting while using wasn't hard at all, I actually really liked being able to control how much heat I wanted at any time. The batteries inside the gloves can be removed, they plug into cords inside the gloves, but you can take them out for storing/charging if you prefer. I LOVE that you can use them to charge other USB charger devices FROM them, like your phone or emergency radios or flashlights. That makes these an indispensable part of your winter gear, as far as I'm concerned. Just excellent! The touchscreen tips on the thumb and index fingers of these let me log into my phone and swipe the screen okay, but it was... tedious. Artificial materials just don't work the way fingers do for that kind of control, but these get you closer than nothing. These do resist snow and slush to a point, but they are not waterproof and are not supposed to get wet, on account of the internal batteries. It might not be a bad idea to keep a pair of regular "slush-digging" gloves around for digging a tire out of a snowbank or something you'll need to get wet for, while these are on preheat to switch back into to recover after. So yeah, these are better than regular gloves by a lot, but I wouldn't toss my regular gloves out, either, it's better to have both so you have options. Overall, I am thrilled with just how awesome these really are! They are so cozy and warm, they are a JOY to wear. I have a cold intolerance. Even when other people are warm, I'm still cold. I am a delivery driver who drives with his doors open all the time. It can get cold here in Massachusetts, especially in the winter. I am always looking for ways to fight the cold and stay warm. These gloves are one of my best tools for the job. They are durable and look like my more expensive, non heated winter gloves. I ordered a size large. My hands are medium-sized, but I ordered a large because it was the smallest they had at the time. Surprisingly, the gloves fit great. I like that the thumb fits normal. Most gloves I buy the thumb parts are always an inch too long. They feel well-made, with no loose stitching. There is a rubber grip sewn into the palm of the glove. It is thick and double sewn. The thumbs and index fingers have a touch screen capable material so you can answer your phone. Texting is a little harder but still doable. There is a drawstring around the upper part of the wrist to seal the glove around your wrist. There is also a strap around the battery compartment. I like the placement of the battery compartment. The conpartment zippers closed. You can bend your wrists freely without the battery interfering. There is a loop and clip built in to clip the gloves together. The button is easy to push. You don't need to remove your gloves to switch between the 3 heat settings. You can't turn these gloves on by accident if they are in your work bag. You have to press the battery button and then power the gloves on. I love these gloves. On the low setting, they are warm and on high they get toasty. I'm not sure of the exact runtime, but they stay warm for hours. The batteries have 4 LED battery indicator lights. I use this pair for working, snow blowing, shoveling, or any other outdoor activities. I got a different thinner pair of heated gloves for driving. A little tip if you are going to get different heated gear. Get yourself a small Bluetooth printer so you can label all of the batteries and charging cables for the different battery packs. ... show more
