Although, it is a great size for a beta…the filter is very very strong for a beta…once my fish was comfortable i wanted to see whether he would be able to handle the current…and to no surprise he couldn’t…so i just took it out and will be cleaning regularly…other then the filter…the light is amazing…i have never been able to truly see the beauty of my fish until now…i would highly recommend this product if you don’t mind not having a filter… ... show more

My corys laid eggs and this was the best tank for hatching them. The strong current helped prevent fungus. The babies tend to stay at the bottom. The filter system doesnt suck them up. This tank is just the right size for our beta fish. The kit came with all the necessary equipment except for the heater to get started. It’s been working great so far and it’s so adorable. It’s easy to clean and looks great when the light is non at night.

It’s a nice little tank. Cheaply made but expected that from the price. I am using it to put a few small shrimp in as their beta companion wanted to make a snack out of them in my 10 gal. This tank is absolutely not big enough to put a fish in, especially with the filter which I had to put a sponge over to slow down. I do not recommend for fish of any size, especially Beta which need at least a minimum of 5 gal. ... show more

My pump died this week which is a bummer but it was a decent pump. Its design was easy to take care of so I liked it but I've had a good time with this tank. I have 4 Oto's in there and that's bout enough space for them they like it and it's easy to maintain for sure I had stuck aquarium grass info the back drop and the grass grew like crazyyyyy I trimmed it back twice already so it's very tamed right now but before it was covering the whole top layer so food was having a hard time getting thru but the grow lights work great in it! Plants love the light. Overall I'd give this tank like a 7.8 Pretty decent for the price and it works if you take care of it. Also I did my back hardscape with brown silicone and big pieces of wood bark and then I shoved cocoa fiber and other materials onto the remainer to give a good look. Then I bought aquarium grass seeds from Amazon and I just shoved them into the crevices and within a few days they were already sprouting and then I left the light on for a whole weekend and I came back and it was like a full-out jungle. Very cool experience haha def recommend the aquarium grass very easy to use and very plenty to use in jar terrarium ... show more

Great tank but our betta fish is less than impressed with the force at which the clean water pumps in. He has a hiding spot so he's able to rest but his little fins sure get a workout when he's out in the open.
