We are 83 years old and really appreciate that this 30 foot long hose is light weight and absolutely doesn't kink. We have been promised that before with other garden hoses and it hasn't been true. With this product, it is true. What I like: - Tested it out of the box and found no leaks. - Nice heavy brass couplings. What I don't like: - Advertised as kink-free, but arrived with a very substantial, permanent kink. Looking through pictures provided by other reviewers shows they also received this hose with severe kinks--sometimes two or three of them. FWIW, I sent the hose back to Amazon for an exchange, and the replacement had TWO kinks in it--for a hose that's only three feet long! I've attached a photo. I realize hoses kink. And I understand that they need to be rolled up to be shipped from the manufacturer. But when a 3-foot hose kinks that badly before it even gets into the hands of the customer? And sure, the kink seems to disappear when the hose is under pressure, but a kink like this weakens the hose's structural integrity and makes it likely that you will have to unkink the hose while using it to free up the flow of water. I've just received the hose and used it. It was difficult to play straight out, but maybe this will improve as I use it. Will give it a few weeks before deciding to return. If performance improves , I will change my review.

Let me first state that I do hobby farming. With more than a dozen in-use at any given time, we go through leader hoses on a fairly regular basis. We’ve used a number of different kinds. The ones most often put to work have been from Tractor Supply and the Flexilla brand. Both of which generally function well. But not always. That’s why I decided to try this hose from Yamatic. The name is a little goofy, but don’t let that fool you. This is a quality piece of kit. Here’s why: 1) Flexibility - At least on-par if not better than any others I’ve used. 2) Precision cut brass hardware - not the cheap stuff 3) Rubber guards on either end to prevent crimping if I get to crazy with the angles to/from 4) Rubber O-ring seems to be meaty and durable 5) Swivel capability for easy on-off. Very nice! What I don’t know much about is the long-term durability. Chances are, it will stand the test based on the feel and thickness of the rubber. If I could, I might consider replacing all my leader hoses with this. It’s that impressive. As I need replacements in the future, this may be my new go-to. ... show more

I frequently use a short hose to link between a water timer and the sprinkler in my garden or lawn. This hose fit the need perfectly. The fittings are solid machined brass, not the cheap rolled thread fittings frequently found on products today. As shown in the photo, the flange sealing the hose gasket is full diameter, not just a narrow piece frequenly observed. The hose itself is a dense, textured rubber or polymer. It is listed as "flexible" so I checked that out. After 3 hours in my freezer it was pipe rigid. After being out at room temperature for a couple of minutes it became flexible. The hose itself was still very cold. I took a picture showing ice condensation on the brass fitting to assure you that I did check it 😀. It's been over 100 F every day for awhile so I didn't want to wait until it got that cold outside to provide this review. Design issue: The only feature not to my liking is that both ends swivel within the brass fitting. That is great on the female hose end since that fitting needs to rotate to connect it to the faucet or another hose. On the male hose end fitting (outside threads) there is only the narrow hex flange to grasp to help tighten it. The nice strain relief rubber pieces at each end slip on the hose, but even if they didn't this male fitting would still rotate within itself. Very difficult to tighten. I would recommend this for purchase. Just be aware that you may require pliers to get the connection tightened properly. ... show more

    • Worked well on a test run. Good length for a leader hose.

Admittedly I only installed and used it long enough to test for leaks and pressure, and it did fine. I am using it as a leader hose between a timer on the spigot on the side of the house and my hose reel. It experienced no leaks and the water pressure from the main hose was normal. Next year will be the true test of its quality and I will update again at that time. During the test it worked well and as expected. ... show more
