  • Yamaha synthetic valve oil is more consistent than traditional oils, giving it better stability in different temperatures.
  • In addition to a smoother feel, you will also be adding to the life of your instrument thanks to a powerful corrosion inhibitor contained in the oil.

Description

Yamaha drew upon decades of experience manufacturing horns for some of the most demanding players in the world to create a line of 100% synthetic oils designed specifically for musical instruments. In addition to producing smooth action and fast response, the oils protect valves and valve casings from corrosion with a long-lasting coating on pistons and other moving components.

  • Works great for my son's Euphonium.
My son is a freshman and is in the marching band at his high school. He got a lot of use out of his instrument this year, including band class in addition to marching band. This valve oil works well and keeps his instrument working smoothly, with fewer missed notes due to sticking valves. If you have kids in band, use this. Your ears will thank you. ... show more

  • Long lasting
Love this stuff. Switched from Al Cass after 25 years- wish I would have done it sooner. It last much longer and the action stays smooth like butter. Standard thickness seems fine for my horn, even though it is a 1951 model. Glad it did as it also works great on my ‘87 horn and I don’t have to have 2 types sitting around. ... show more

  • If you haven't converted to synthetic - It's Time!
I had avoided synthetic valve oil until the purchase of my Yamaha Zeno trumpet (and I have owned several other high end trumpets). In the past I had tried about every oil out there and always had to oil my valves every 2-3 days, regardless of brand. Since this is the oil which came with my new horn I gave it a try and I'm sold!!!! With synthetic I can go weeks without oiling my valves (I put in several hours playing every day). Most of the times I have oiled my valves have been out of guilt.....just because I've gone so long without oiling them. Great stuff and I will be using it for the rest of my playing days. ... show more

  • Great Synthetic Valve Oil
I use this for my Cornet, Flugelhorn, and Trumpet. Yes, I've tried other brands but always come back to the Yamaha products. Keeps my valves clean and absolutely no "Stiction". However, It will not make a worn-out horn or an abused one operate like new. It does work quite well for my 1958 cornet, 1972 trumpet, and a brand-new flugelhorn. ... show more

  • Sticking trumpet valves? This is the oil you want.
I purchased an all-in-one trumpet maintenance kit that came with valve oil. The valves on the trumpet kept sticking, even if I oiled it every other day. Read that this might be the result of poor oil, and that this Yamaha synthetic oil might be better. It's not just better. It's like night and day. What used to stick regularly now never, ever sticks, and instead of oiling once every two days, I can oil maybe once a month at most, and it still never sticks. This is the stuff you want. ... show more
