  • Worked perfectly
Color: Gold
It's inexpensive, so I wasn't sure how well it would work, but it had no problem pulling a mouthpiece out of a trumpet that had been stuck there for years. I would buy it again.

  • A must have for brass musician
Color: Gold
Eventually you will get your mouthpiece stuck in your horn. Usually at the most inopportune time. This tool is fast, easy on your horn and efficient. Great buy

  • Worked well
Color: Silver
Never new this was a common issue. Got my Grandson a Trumpet, and the mouth piece got stuck. This puller worked pretty well. Make sure the adjustable neck jaws a secured so they dont slip. I put a little oil on the puller threads to make them operate smoothly.

  • Good for occasional use
Color: Gold
Biggest issue is wing nuts don't provide much leverage, but like some other designs have enough clearance for a big tuba mouthpiece. Sturdy and well built, good for occasional use. Probably would not hold up in a shop or a school environment. I purchased because I have 2 children playing brass instruments, so it saves trips to the shop for an occasional stuck mouthpiece. Bottom clips are adjustable enough for removing stuck mouthpiece from sousaphone bit or from a larger bulkier receiver. ... show more

  • It Works!
Color: Gold
I dropped my old Conn, mouthpiece down, from my lap to the floor. It was very stuck. I tried all the “hacks” including hot water, valve oil, even cushioned and very gentle pliers. It was totally stuck. If I wanted to switch to my 7C, I was I who was stuck…stuck with a :3C on board. I ordered this pulled and had it in a couple of days. There are no directions at all, so you may have to look up a video or something, but it works. In about 10 minutes, my old friend was again ready for my attempts to once again play a scale. But that’s another story. ... show more

  • Problem solved!
Color: Silver
Very effective tool to have. My son really had his mouth piece jammed. It would not budge. Once it arrived I immediately took it out to give it a try. First attempt still didn’t budge, I partly blame myself I think I wasn’t turning them equally. Restarted and SUCCESS! Less than 10 minutes from delivery to having the mouthpiece free! Thankful for those YouTube videos posted I understood how to use the tool when it arrived! Wise investment. ... show more

  • Worked in a pinch, but not easily.
Color: Gold
It worked in a pinch for my 12-year-old’s trumpet and arrived super-fast (thank you, Prime!), but honestly I’d recommend a brand name item or at least one that’s easier to grip the turners on. The packaging waa beaten up and ripped, and the puller itself had minor scratches on it. Clearly, it was a returned item, and I know why! It was difficult to use: there were no directions, the bottom plates don’t clasp the mouthpiece super securely, and the top turners were hard to grasp and turn with the force required. I ended up having to use pliers to grip and turn the turners (never use pliers on the mouthpiece or instrument itself) after failing multiple times to remove the mouthpiece with just the strength of my fingers to turn the turners. After only a turn or two with the pliers, I did have success, however, I may have to get the instrument looked at anyway, as the feeder portion of the mouthpiece is now slightly not perfectly circular. Did I do that by using this tool with pliers or was the mouthpiece already like that and that’s why it got stuck? I’ll never know. Ultimately, my problem was solved, but not easily. ... show more
