  • High quality and fun
This keyboard as a wide range of voices, so it's fun to play with. The buttons are easy to locate and press and they always respond. The audio is crisp but a little bit loud. Also, I loved how it had a screen that shows what keys you're pressing and the notes, as I have trouble locating ones way above or way below the staff. It also has an adjustable metronome so it's great for beginners practicing timing! The keyboard is nice and sturdy and when you press the keys, they respond right away. I recommend that if you're not as experienced and want to play simple music or make your own, you should get this keyboard. Even people who have more experience should too. It has never malfunctioned before. If you have a drop of water on the screen and it makes it go weird, don't panic. Try to pick it up with a clean, soft towel (only if there's a little bit of water) and you'll probably be fine. This is an excellent gift for beginners and intermediates alike. ... show more

  • Family fun
I had my eye on several different Yamaha models because it seems to be a good trusted brand that has been around for a long time, and I've got to say I'm glad I got this one! For the price it was perfect for my family! The keyboard is very light, easy to use, and sounds wonderful! There's an endless amount of sound effects and different instrument options to choose from for the ultimate music AND movie making experience! For just messing around with it for about an hour my family and I are very pleased! It does not come with a power cord, make sure to purchase that seperately. Although it does have the capability to put 6 AA's for portable use. Maybe down the road a more expensive Yamaha would be nice to get for extra features but for beginners such as my family this is wonderful! ... show more

  • Great Sounding Keyboard - I actually use this for my Rock Band Gigs
I am a semi pro guitarist and play in a gigging classic rock band. We wanted to add some songs with keys and since I have always "noodled" on keyboards, I volunteered to play instead of hiring an extra musician. I bought this keyboard for our rehearsal room with the intention of purchasing a pro synthesizer for the actual gigs. I quickly found out this keyboard would actually do the job for gigging and it does it well. The piano sounds are amazing. The organs can mimic a B3 tone. The strings are warm. The brass is bright. The synth sounds cover almost any song you would want to play. When I run this through our large PA system using the headphones/line out jack it sounds remarkable. I can understand a classical pianist not liking this due to the lack of touch sensitivity, but for a rock band it more than does the job. And it weighs next to nothing. A real winner for me! ... show more

  • I don't think I'll need a new one for a while❤️
Wouldn't say it's a very durable piano but pianos aren't meant to be treated like a toy anyhow. They are not weighted keys. I got the 61 keyboard. Multiple sounds but nothing to crazy. Haven't figured out how to split the keyboard yet. Lightweight. Some people reported theirs being arrived broken but mine arrived in one peace and was not hard to get started at all. My children and I love it and we're happy we bought it. It was an expensive compared to most Yamaha pianos I really do prefer Yamaha instruments or Casio. I would not go with a knockoff brand if you actually are serious about learning how to play or teaching someone to play. ... show more

  • Excellent product but adapter not included.
Best keyboard for the money. The product also arrived 2 days before expected. It's very lightweight and the sound quality is excellent. If you're looking for a beginner keyboard for adults, this is it. So many sound functions and pre-sets. I gave it 5 stars because I'm was so impressed by it for the price. Only flaw to me was that it didn't come with an electical adapter. Lucky for me, I had one that would work. If you don't have a 12v adapter then you'll need to order one or just get 6 AA batteries. ... show more

  • Great piano for a good price!
I purchased this piano primarily for the voice lessons I teach every week, as well as my own music writing purposes (primarily chords and trying new melodies). I love it! It's definitely small, but the different sound settings on the piano are awesome for songwriting, and it works well for what I want it for, simple piano playing - scales, chords, and playing warmups for my voice students. If you're looking to practice to be a professional pianist, you may want to look into the more expensive keyboards with more range & abilities, but if you're using it for more minimalistic/fun purposes, it's great, and at a great rice! ... show more

  • It works but with Some Design Flaws
First of all I should admit I am not a musician but I play keyboard on a very basic level (for myself). Therefore I can't talk much about the quality of the sound and touch. I had a Yamaha keyboard before which was damaged after some years. In compare to that instrument, this one is bigger, has more sound effects and rhythm. But the old one was very intuitive to use. The function keys were straight forward and you could easily find what you wanted very fast. This one has multi level function keys and it is far from being intuitive. The user handbook is poor and lousy and you need a very big magnifier to read it. It is very frustrating to find usable information in it (very bad). Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this keyboard although I kept it because I couldn't find any alternative to it (or maybe I didn't look around long enough). ... show more

  • Good buy, I love it!
The songs are great! Many choices and I love that. I am 62 and bought this to be able to practice the songs we are singing in our church choir. The most awesome thing , aside from the whole keyboard sound and size, is that it is so light weight!! Being able to move this as needed without needing a team of men to help me move it - is AWESOME! This is a great purchase for me and the needs I have. This purchase was better than I expected. ... show more
