Features

  • GHS weighted action is heavier in the low keys and lighter in the high keys, just like an acoustic piano.
  • The Pure CF Sound Engine faithfully reproduces the tone of a meticulously sampled, acclaimed Yamaha 9' CFIIIS concert grand piano, allowing for incredibly dynamic and expressive playing.
  • String Resonance recreates the sympathetic sounds of other strings resonating, just like the behavior of acoustic pianos.
  • Damper Resonance DSP recreates the sound of the inside of a grand piano when the dampers are off the strings.
  • Key-off samples deliver the delicate change in sound the instant the damper falls back to the string.

  • Sound is much like a piano
Color: Black Style: 88-Key Pattern: Piano
I purchase this Yamaha 125A because of the reviews I read and very pleased with my purchase. The foot pedal is a little cheap but the digital keyboard is nice with the weighted keys and the sound is pretty is very good. It sounds very much like a real piano.

  • Exceeded my expectation. Good sound and feel
Color: Black Style: 88-Key Pattern: Piano
I had a Clavinova for 20+ years. I didn’t have high expectations for this budget model, but is pleasantly surprised. It’s sturdy with nice touch, albeit not at the clavinova level. Very smooth simulated hammer action. Clear and powerful sound. Only criticism is the flimsy foot pedal, which I will purchase a free standing brass one later. Not good enough for serious pursuit of higher skills acquisition, but for casual enjoyment of good music, it’s fantastic. ... show more

  • Perfect for beginners as well as those with more experience
Color: Black Style: 88-Key Pattern: Piano
Very versatile full-sized keyboard. Headphone input makes practicing easy even with others in the room. Online lessons a plus. Sturdy, stable construction. Weighty enough yet able to be easily moved by one person if needed.

  • Generally good, a few minor complaints
Color: Black Style: 88-Key Pattern: Piano
I'm an adult learning the piano, and bought the Yamaha P125A keyboard to practice on. I like that it's (sort of) portable (it's long of course, and a bit heavy), doesn't take a lot of space, and sounds good. The weighted keys feel nice and "piano-like". Now that I've played on it for a few months I have a few minor complaints. 1. The keys have a sort of "double bump" feel to them sometimes when I press them with a certain amount of pressure. That is, I press the key once, but I feel a bump-bump as the key goes down. It can annoy me when notice it. I try to ignore it, and most of the time it doesn't bother me. 2. At times a key will go down but not play at all. I can't predict when it will happen - I think it's some odd combination of multiple keys being pressed at the same time, at a certain pressure, and maybe the sustain pedal is involved too, I'm not sure. Also, I've experienced delays on rare occasions, where you press a key down but there's a split second delay before the piano tone sounds. Again, this is rare, but has happened to me a few times. 3. There is a range of keys, about a octave's worth, one or two octaves above middle C, where the regular standard "piano" sound setting doesn't sound like a piano to me. The whole keyboard from lowest to highest key sounds like a real piano except that range of keys. That (approximate) one-octave range sounds "fake" or "electronic" to me, like an electronic keyboard or old electric piano or synthesizer. Again, these are minor complaints. Overall, I like the keyboard and play it a couple hours every day. ... show more

  • Love it
Color: Black Style: 88-Key Pattern: Piano
I already have a Yamaha baby grand piano. This is my "play" piano. The touch, the sound and the feel is almost like the real thing. I love it.
