I got this for my cat who has severe and destructive separation anxiety who was literally clawing through floors and walls. He LOVES it!!! There is enough space that he doesn't feel like he's being trapped in a box so he acts like it's his own room. He is a generous 13lbs of kitty so he's a lil heavy for the shelves, hit one too hard and one hook snapped off. Other than that the whole set up has been fantastic! It was easy to set up and VERY STURDY. I couldn't break out of this thing. Yet it's light enough to move when I need to. This was my last ditch effort to be able to keep him. His destructive behavior was going to get us evicted soon and I won't declaw him because it's awful. This cage let's us stay a family safely and happily. Bought for 8 week old kitten. Works ok but she has fallen a few times getting used to the ramps. Ramps are a little cheap and a few of the connectors broke off while assembling but overall it works for what we need.

This was slightly tricky to assemble, as the instructions were not completely clear as to how exactly the bottom parts went together and the pictures in the instructions were SUPER tiny. BUT, after a little bit of trial and error, I figured it out all by myself, and it looks great! I am a small person and I assembled it all by myself. It is extremely sturdy and very secure. I rescued two, 3 month old kittens off the street, and this is their home when I'm not around to supervise (when I'm at work, and during the night). I did attach a large dog crate to the front with zipties to make it larger, and to have a place to put a large litter box and a scratching post. I also attached a hammock to the inside, at the very top. The whole thing works amazingly well and the kittens love it!! They obviously feel very safe and secure in there, because they often go relax inside their playpen, even when they're free to roam the house. They both litter trained immediately, without ever having a single accident in the house, thanks to this unit! And they sleep through the night because they feel safe and secure in there and are able to fully relax. This was a great purchase! ... show more

I ordered this for my adult rats. This would not be suitable for baby rats or mice/ hamsters as the bars have a decent amount of space between them. It was a little difficult to put together ( thanks husband) it was only pictures. However, it is nice, durable and space efficient while still giving the rats space to play. ... show more

We just needed a place for our cat to calmly spend time with us in the livingroom. She loves to get into trouble just for attention. We also have dog that she gets skittish around. The cage assembly process requires reading the manual. It’s very high. But not for Chinchinlla. I want to return it after I buy it. Your attention, please. This is a third-party seller. You have to pay the freight for the product. I was told there would be a $100 shipping charge.

It’s not bad if you’re trying to go cheap it’s definitely not for cats you cat fit a litter box in it. What I did was got a huge litter box and made the entire bottom of the cage the litterbox otherwise the metals didn’t line up they were very bent which made it harder to put together but the directions were also very unclear and only had picture. ... show more
