Description

Notices before use: 1. Microwave kiln must be padded kiln paper, otherwise the glass will stick on the kiln tray. Need to replace with new kiln paper every time. 2. If the microwave kiln is wet, the kiln paper is black and yellow instead of white. So the microwave kiln storage to be moisture-proof treatment. 3. Do not put the hot microwave kiln on the microwave oven, wood products, plastic cooling. 4. Do not open the microwave kiln when cooling, cold air instantly into the microwave kiln high heat environment, will cause damage to the microwave kiln. Instructions: 1, Using a larger size microwave oven.Microwave should be at least 1000 watts for best results. 2, Clean ready glass and kiln tray. 3, Kiln paper cut larger than glass pieces,put it on top of the kiln tray. 4, Place kiln tray into the microwave oven.Cover the kiln lid and set the microwave temperature as "HIGH",heating around 6-8 minutes. 5, The hole in the top glows orange when the kiln is at fusing temperatures. 6, Carefully remove the kiln wearing insulated gloves to kiln shelf for cooling about 30 minutes when firing is complete. 7, It may take a few attempts to figure out the ideal firing times,usually between 6 to 16 minutes. 8, Use tools like files to round the melted semi-finished material and a strong adhesive to bond accessories to it, and you will customize a unique pendant only belongs to you in the world!

Never ever would I think you can get temps this hot from a microwave mind blown! I was able to bisque fire low fire clay no problem! This thing is awesome! Worth every penny. Started with a small mircrowave kiln and now upgraded to this large size. I can now heat multiple pieces of low fire clay at the same time. I've been using this kiln for a few weeks and absolutely love this thing. So far this is what I've learned. If firing ceramics don't use full power of the microwave if it's 1,000 watts. Instead use longer heat times at reduced power so it doesn't heat up too fast and crack! I do 20%,30% and 40% power for 10 minutes each comes out perfect every time! I will be purchasing another to do larger items placing one upside down and the other right side up on top to double capacity because the height is limited while the diameter is 4.5" ... show more

    • Despite the low price, does the job
The kiln is only good for small pieces but it is effective. I've never used a microwave kiln before so I'm not sure how they are supposed to perform but this one does take about 10 minutes to heat the glass properly in a 1000 watt microwave.

    • Didn't hold up. One use only and cracked inside lid
sadly this did not meet my expectations. I used it only once and a few cracks already in the lid. I wanted so badly for this to work, to make glass jewelry. I'm not happy with this product. I guess I need to buy a more expensive one for what I need.

    • Not a kiln - Doesn't melt any kind of glass.
I have a laser thermometer and several other micro kilns. This thing can't get up above about 550 or so degrees Fahrenheit. Have the most powerful microwave, and tested it 3 times on my other micro kilns, and everything melts fine. I even have one larger than this that produces almost double the heat. No idea why this one sucks so much and I'm sure all of these other reviews are paid. Buyer beware on this one. ... show more

I can’t believe Amazon hasn’t pulled this product! I have older kilns that actually work. I wanted another one so I could do more projects in a day. I suspect that all of the vendors are buying the same defective kilns from the same manufacturer, who I suspect cut corners to lower production costs, and now the kilns are worthless! Wish I could give a ZERO STAR review! One star is one too many! ... show more
