The top of the wheel ridges were sharp and it did take some skin off the side of my hand. Also the bottom of the base where you screw the legs where not cut properly so the legs to not fit flush on the ground so it is hard to level. The wheel and base are so light weight that if you apply to much pressure when forming your clay, that the porters wheel slides so you have to use your feet to seep it stationary. Over all it is a wheel for beginners, and its cheap. However there is safety concerns with using this Potters wheel. ... show more

Got this today. Foot pedal all way depressed only turns it on and off in one slow, unusable, speed --- seems assembled backwards or something? No tools in box, asking son to look at it to fix, but likely will return.

Not a bad setup for the price. Tools are dinky plastic so invest in better ones in the future. Like the peddle for speed control. Cleanup is easy despite non removable tray. I'm new so my ignorance shows my skill.
