Wish I got the gray instead. The black really shows any light colored stains or residue. I believe it has some sort of coating on it (perhaps a mold release agent) that makes it looks aged and weathered within a few days, but after giving it a good cleaning, that went away and it looks decent once again. Just make sure you clean once you get it out of the box. Otherwise it’s so nice to have instead of the folded paper towel my wife used to use to catch all the drips. You can see some of this white discoloration in the photo. We have a water softener, so it’s not lime or scale from our faucet. ... show more

i was skeptical, figuring that enough water would get under the mat from drips down the faucet that it would get icky underneath. but nope! makes a HUGE difference; i've got a sink where the tap is a lever on the side of the faucet, which you have to rotate backwards to get hot water, and of course every time you turn it off with wet hands, or rotate it to get hotter or colder water, drip-drip-drip all over the place, including on the strip of counter behind the sink. this thing catches it all. only things i would change: (1) after using it for a while, some areas are shinier and some are more matte, depending on, say, whether the soap dispenser or a was setting in one place for a while; even after running through the dishwasher and then hand-washing, it's still uneven. (2) i'd like it to be just a wee bit thicker in the back, for better drainage; i put a plastic shim under the back, but it'd be cool to not have to deal with that. but those are minor issues, and overall i'm really pleased. ... show more

A pretty nice little mat that fits around our Delta touchless faucet. It's just a simple silicon mat that you are meant to place things like a sponge so that it drains out into the sink. Not sure why people are complaining that it's not "sturdy" it's not meant to hold anything up on its own, lay it flat on the counter top. ... show more

I really like the way this keeps my counter clean and dry around the faucet. I do have to wash it occasionally as it gets spotted. If I were to buy it again, I would consider a lighter color.
