The XVIM 2.5 Wi-Fi camera is very easy to set up once you install the app which can be linked by scanning the QR code in the user’s manual with you cell phone. The camera talks to you giving instructions on how to set it up and found my WIFI instantly. Put in the password and it stayed connected. I installed a new 128 Samsung SD evo microchip and the camera did not acknowledge it. I tried a 128 PNY SD elite and the camera picked it up right away, it also enabled me to format the chip right away which is recommended new or used. There is a list of compatible SD chips on the xvimtech.com website. The XVIM 2.5 Wi-Fi camera is wireless but needs electricity, which to me is more reliable than a solar connection for constant surveillance. It comes with a 78-inch USB cable and connector which I used an extension cord to temporarily connect it. I love the clarity of this camera’s lenses especially for the price. It has two lenses in which one of the lenses can focus closure. I am not sure if that is something I will use but it is an additional feature. The app works great, I can access the camera from anywhere and it responses quickly. It has auto tracking which I have not played with yet and a few other features as well and motion detection and notifications. ... show more

Has the ability to outline area that you would like to trigger for security purposes or you can set a trigger point line that when crossed will trigger. The human detection mode is flawless, it rarely ever triggers from non-human activity when enabled. Very clear video quality.
