I’ve had the XOP for over a year now and have left it in the elements the entire time. It locks onto the tree very well and gives you confidence to stand even to the outer edges if needed. There is no rust and it doesn’t creak when weight is shifted. The seat cushion is comfortable and removable during the off season. The seat flips up quietly so you can switch from sitting to standing. In the process of moving the XOP from one tree to another and accidentally dropped it 20 feet to the ground. I inspected it after the hard crash and it had no damage. I tested it out and no issues came from the drop. Still does not creak and is very sturdy when properly installed. Not as light as some of the other XOP stands but it's really comfortable and easy to pack in and set up. With straps and cushion mine weighed in at 12.2 pounds. If you're used to older steel stands then this thing is light as a feather. Add the quick connect bracket XOP sells and it's even easier and faster to setup. Stand is also easy to convert into a frame pack for hauling in gear and hauling out meat. Just tie some Paracord or nylon webbing to the platform then hook onto the seat frame. Got the stand through Amazon. Appears to be in working order. Looks preowned though and all scratched up. Maybe a delivery problem. Not happy when spending couple hundred bucks to see a brand new tree stand looking used
