Great player for the money but be aware.. although the description says it does 4K video, that's only if you pay for the monthly subscription. Without the subscription you are limited to 1080p and a maximum of 15 slides/images which is rather limiting. Setup and management is super easy; only negative is that there are two HDMI out ports, but only one works. Wish that was mentioned somewhere or the port was labeled inop. ... show more

I am a small business owner with 3 retail stores and needed to be able to create my own digital marketing. I have full time staff and infrastructure at each store including wireless networks. I am a heavy user of cloud based services when they return/cost to value ratio makes sense. UPDATED 1/20/19 When I originally reviewed this item, I felt like the description was inaccurate centered around the comment -- the first sign is free. The company reached out to me and had a genuine interest in educating me and understanding my purchase decision and experience. My issue was with the lack of clarity on what you received for * FREE * and having to dig thru comments to find it later on. The company has since updated the main description to accurately reflect what you get for free and when you have to purchase a subscription. While I returned the item without being able to use it I think it bears notice when a company is willing to go the extra mile to make sure Amazon buyers have a good experience and they did that by updating their description. At this time for me it comes down to a cost decision. I can have local store employees update the content using a $39 media play and an SD card when it changes once a month in about 5 minutes and no other ongoing cost. So the cost of $540 dollar per year which works out to paying $180 per store per year or $180 for an hours' work per year was not a good ROI for me. Your company and infrastructure may be different than my own. The company indicated it may have something in the future that is a better fit for my price range. I agree the convenience of being able to centrally update would be nice to have at a better price point and discussed what I thought it was worth and they were very open and genuinely interested in feedback. I updated my one star rating to four stars based on the companies willingness to update the description and ask for feedback and might try the product in the future if an offering more suitable to my business is available.     • Easy Choice and Fast Customer Service
This is a fairly turnkey solution to managing displays and menus. We create our own content and find the XOGO software to work very well and reliably across multiple devices. I had an instance, recently, where I needed to reach out to customer service to replace a missing power cable from a recent order. It was super fast to use their customer site. An agent asked about where to mail the replacement part, and then I received the tracking number and it arrived quickly. Super helpful folks and quick... actual humans too!     • Great Product - Customer Service Not so much
The product is nice, and the software is easy to use. I like the app option to easily update the digital boards from anywhere. My 2 frustrations, I have not be able to set up the devices to use the WIFI. I am not sure why it will not connect to the wifi in any of our buildings. We have a total of 3 devices in different locations and none of them will work with WIFI set up. I had to have cable ran to each digital board, and the work good with a direct connection. My second frustrations, customer service. I have reach out so many times for support and have not received NONE. They don't provide a phone number to call, only an email. One of the XOGO players has now reset it self back to the original settings and now it will not connect at all. ... show more

    • Changed Review Due to Top-Notch Customer Service
Originally, I was a bit miffed that the description didn't mention that you need Windows 10 (not 7) and Bluetooth in order for the system to work. HOWEVER, that short-coming has allowed the XOGO team to truly shine. In the process of getting my system up to speed to run the XOGO mini, their customer support has proved themselves to be A-Listers. They have gone the extra mile to help me get our digital sign up and running. Justin Miller, in particular, stands out as being one of my all-time favorite customer service contacts. With that said, this is a basic system with decent graphic capabilities. It's easy to work with and does what it's supposed to do. We are a small municipal department, and wanted a digital sign to provide daily facility stats for the operators. This system provides that on a slide by slide basis, so it works fine for our needs. If you need something with real-time feeds, it has the capability to do that using Screenfeed, but it turns the feed into a slideshow, from what I understand. That may be helpful to us at some point. Bought this for my takeout restaurant digital signage. I'm no tech wizard but thought from reviews I'd be able to figure it out. I don't find the videos helpful, and if you want to do anything that a simple thumb drive can't do then you need a subscription. Templates are also separate subscriptions. Maybe I'm just stupid. Maybe I'll figure it out......eventually... ... show more
