Like the fit, light weight, waterproof is nice. Cons: the leg pocket has a zipper that tends to go down on its own when a lot of movement is taking place always afraid something is going to fall out of that pocket. The front pockets are very small. I can barely get my hand in it. My cell phone fits in the pocket but it's a tight fit. I bought these for backpacking and they are perfect. Quick drying material. The crotch area is like a black netting so very breathable. The right zippered pocket fits my Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra. And the left pocket fits my 356 LCR. Both can zip up too which is important while creek crossings or steep climbing. Then they have zippered pockets by them that would hold a snack bar, keys or other small items. The 2 front pockets are really deep. UPDATE: After 3.5 years of these outliving 12 pairs of Wrangler's / Lee's / Levi's, I bought two more pairs. Sadly, while the material is the same, they are have shrunk the pockets and length to shave material costs. My pictures show the old pair (bottom) vs new (top). The length of the new pairs is ~4" shorter. As an individual from the "below the knees" era, this is uncomfortable. Secondly, the width of the pockets have shrunk and it is now a PITA to use them. My wallet is small compared to most guys and it is consistently a struggle to get it in and out of the pockets on both new pairs. A poor oversight to shave pennies off the production cost. Thus, despite the longevity of the shorts, I had to reduce my rating to 3/5. Pros 1) lightweight 2) slightly stretchy which makes range of motion better 3) stylish 4) more durable than Lee, Levi's, Urban Pipeline, Dicky's, and pretty much any local store-bought brand I've had in the last 3 years. Cons 1) they get dirty very easily. Any dust or powder like debris that hits them and they are dirty til the next wash. I also find that washing them with pods leaves soap sediment that is sometimes hard to get out. The material is just very prone to collecting fine debris. Half a day in the warehouse and I look like I've been working construction and wiping my palms on my pants. Other 1) button is combined with Velcro for added support 2) pocket zippers feel better quality than cheap brands usually do My Opinion These are great for a clean desk job or a night out or a stroll through the park but I wouldn't get them for work shorts or to do something active in unless you don't mind looking dirty all day. They would be good for hiking since they dry quickly, but you'll look like you crawled the whole way =] ... show more
