I was doubtful about these being easy to use. But it was a piece of cake installing them. They worked on the very first try. They could be a bit shorter, but I just wound it around the mirror base a few times and it is not hanging out where it could get pulled lose easily. A YouTube video on installing radar in a Cybertruck said you "needed" a certain brand of mirror tap at $46.99 because they include 4 sizes of wires and you need the thinnest possible. Well given the price difference, thought I would gamble with this one for about 1/3rd the price... yeah the thinnest wire was tight but I was able to make it work. Ok so it doesn't have the built-in fuse like the name brand but I don't think that's really necessary. If your car fries, your radar detector is least of the problems. ... show more

Having three wires to ensure the correct fit was great. Fit 2024 Corvette C8. Use one and give away the other 2. The cable quality was very good. The installation was easy.

I've used these abiut five times now, sometimes finding a keyed power source can be tough. I caused some issues on my wife's Lincoln by tapping power from the power mirror, it tricked the car into thinking it was backing up and caused the reverse lights to always be on. So word of caution, be sure where you're stealing power from. All other installs have been fine. The kit comes with three different sized pins. I've even cut them off to use quick taps which are more secure. But just stuffing the pins into a connector seems to work well enough. ... show more

Bought these extra long RJ11 connections for a hard wired radar detector! Pins are sturdy and push far enough in to connector to get no hassle power! Just tuck the extra into the plastic mirror housing!
