I was helping a friend to rehab her wheelchair. These bearings were more than adequate for that use, and the Amazon price was literally a tenth of what specialized Durable Medical Equipment suppliers want, for what appears to be the exact same made-in-China bearing. The sad thing is, that high DME-store price had discouraged my friend from changing the badly-worn bearings in her wheelchair. She just put up with having a hard time getting around, because she thought that changing the bearings in those low-tech wheels was a big deal. But they were 80 cents each. Drive them out with a screwdriver and hammer. Pound them back in with a hammer and a bit of wood to soften the blow. When in doubt, use a set of calipers to measure the bearing. My friend didn't believe we could just buy generic bearings, but the bearings that came out were the exact same size (to within the resolution of the electronic calipers). Basically, in a low-speed, moderate load situation like this, there's no way these weren't going to work, as long as they were the right size. Obviously, this wasn't a high-stress or high-precision application. But these are more than good enough for use in wheelchairs. ... show more

I bought some beach wheels that were advertised for a 1" axle and they didn't fit. I ordered these bearings and installed them in the wheels since the OD dimension of the bearing was nearly identical to the dimension of the wheel hub. Problem solved. These bearings are a perfect and economical fit for my wheelchair casters. TiLite AeroX came with bearings marked R6RS but I was unable to find those without paying the wheelchair manufacturer their crazy prices plus the full price shipping. We are their captive market and I do everything I can to work around that fact. These R6-2RS bearings fit perfectly in place of the R6RS bearings and work just fine.
