    • The must have accessory for Dyson stick vacuum owners.
For the past 6 months I’ve stored my dyson vacuum on the shelf above the laundry machine with the wand and main brush propped up in the corner of the closet, and the other attachments still in the box, also in the closet, and taking up way too much space. The vacuum was not very accessible, and because of that, I didn’t use it when the crumbs and other debris began to accumulate in the kitchen and dinning area. Then I did a search for a stand on amazon and more stands than I could have read the reviews for popped up. I guess it was the four star rating and gold color that attracted me to this stand despite it being in the upper 1/4 price range. I waited for the price to drop about $6 on Amazon Prime day before finally making the purchase. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. The stand was double boxed with all the main components individually covered inside yellow synthetic fiber sacks. All the tools necessary for assembly were included, including a screw driver and Allen wrench. The hardware was all individually packaged in separate zip lock bags which were labeled, so no sorting of screws was necessary. Five hooks were provided to mount the vacuum’s accessories on the side of the stand. In addition, screw holes and screws were provided to mount the wall mount that comes with the Dyson stick vacuum to the top of the stand. The wall mount that comes with the Dyson vacuum, will hold the charging plug from the charging cable in place, so that when you place the vacuum back into the mount, it will begin to charge. Removing the vacuum from the mount is as simple as pushing up on the vacuum and then pulling the vacuum out at an angle. I have the Dyson V7 animal which I believe is shorter in length than some of the other Dyson vacs listed to be compatible with this product. As a result, when the vacuum along with the hose and main brush attachment are placed in the mount, the brush is suspended a couple inches above the base of the stand, instead of resting on top of the base of the stand. This doesn’t appear to have any adverse effects on the vacuum, but could be putting some added stress on the connection between to brush and hose. In that case, you can just remove brush attachment and hang it on the fifth hook located on the side of the stand. The stand is very stable when removing and replacing the vacuum in the mount and four rubber feet are provided to protect the base of the stand when placed on hard floors. This product could be improved by making use of the other side of the stand to add additional hooks for mounting more accessories. Also, I would like a place to put the wall charger when the vacuum isn’t charging as Dyson’s instructions recommend unplugging it from the wall. Finally, it would be nice if they added a storage rack to hold the instruction manual for the Dyson vacuum. ... show more

It's Christmas eve again when I had to assemble presents. It's obvious what this does and everything is included including the tools and screws to assemble this. Before I tell you what could be improved, I want to say that this is one of the better instruction sheets with a very detailed how to. Step1 attaches the base to the lower column. It is not obvious which is the upper column and which is the lower column. A careful examination of where the holes are for the hooks clears that up. Step 2 connects the lower column to the upper one. This is done using connecting pieces but what isn't clear is that they have a front and back side. If you get that wrong the screws won't go in. Step 3 connects the hooks which is straight forward. Step 4 installs the charging hanging seat, I thought it was missing ! I bought my Dyson V10 Absolute the same day I bought this and they both arrived at the same time. I didn't know the charging hanging seat came with the vacuum. When I unpacked that I saw it. All in all not exactly fun but it was easier than I thought it would be. One other thing, the included screw driver isn't perfect for the screws so sometimes it slipped when I tightened. The gold color I got is attractive and I didn't want to drill holes in one of my walls to hang this vacuum up. This is my second Dyson and eventually I had battery problems. Dyson Customer service was quite good. Still though I didn't want to mess with it so I gave it to a maintenance man. ... show more

CONS: This would have gotten 5 stars if it had been ambidextrously built. The only things keeping this from being 100% amazing top of the line build are #1. There should be accessory mounting holes on both the right and left side to accommodate for varying set up locations. #2. It would have been great to have a floor base accessory holding hook for the second Motorhead accessory that dyson comes with and that other stands have built in. #3. I wish it came with a hook to hold to stick/wand while not in use and that it had one more accessory hook. Lastly There is a small learning curve in the sense that while placing the upright vacuum back into the holding mechanism it’s best practice to have one foot on top of the base so the entire stand doesn’t go toppling backwards. None of these minor complaints would stop me from recommending it. Pros: This is a great option for anyone who doesn’t have the wall space or ability to wall mount their vacuum. The packaging was actually very impressive and could have only been improved if it was biodegradable. The building of this seems spot on, sturdy, stout, and not under built in any way. All of the necessary instructions and labeled screws were present and accounted for. I was even impressed and happy to receive the screw driver! It shipped prime and arrived the same time as my dyson v8. I really like that it holds 7 accessories with the mounted dyson charging station giving the two extra accessory holding slots. ... show more
