  • I LOVE THIS STUFF
What a versatile product. I’ve used it for so many things! I’ve grown plants entirely in lecca, I’ve used it at the bottom of terrariums for a water reservoir, I’ve used it as a topper for my potted plants. It’s visually appealing to look at and functional. Just make sure you rinse it before you use it because there’s a lot of dust so I just rinse them in a pasta strainer before I use them. ... show more

  • They float.
I had no idea that these would float. It was a little shocking as I've seen so many plant videos using them and never once saw them float. Sorta cool and helps with not adding too much water.

  • Leca is leca.
It’s fine but this leca is SMALL ! Beware it’s about dime sized

  • Good product, but double check the size before you buy.
The size of these pebbles remind me of small grapes, so keep that in mind depending on your purpose for using these. I looked at reviews, but was still a little surprised by the size compared to others I've used. There were some broken and some odd shaped pebbles, but that is not an issue for me. Mine were a darker brown color than they appear in the photos. ... show more

  • Pretty good for the price!
These are pretty good for the price! They aren't the pretty and perfectly round leca that you typically see, but as long as you're okay with that then they are functional non-the-less and you get a pretty decent amount. Just be aware that there were a decent amount of broken pieces and a ton of dust that needed to be washed off. ... show more

  • Very pleased.
After much research about Leca, I decided to give it a try for my plants that have already been growing in water. I snipped several holes in the bottom and side of the bag and unzipped the top and rinsed them until the water was clear. Then I put them in a bowl of water with a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and microwaved it to just under boiling. Once it was cooled a couple of hours later I added some very diluted plant food to each of my 2 hanging pothos and my chinese evergreen and they are doing great. I've seen where some have used them with succulents, but I'm not that brave yet. Plants that can be grown in water I think will do well in Leca since it holds onto the water it doesn't seem to evaporate as fast compared to being in water alone. It also looks nice through the clear bowls and you can still monitor the root growth. It is true that because of the extremely light structure of the Leca, it does float, but once filled with the plant and the water only filled to a couple of inches from the top it works great! ... show more
