We got these for our couch to try instead of side tables, which we didn't have space for. These have been working great, even though our leather couch has slightly angled arm rests. We also like that they are made of sustainable bamboo and the color works well with many decor schemes. When we don't want to use them they nicely fold flat. I was happy when I finally completed all the paperwork to get it out of customs and received it here in Costa Rica but it broke as as soon as I opened the legs one of them snapped off. The screws are there to hold the spring not the legs to the tray, that is held by staples. I bought crazy glue and fixed it. Our family room set up does not allow for enough space for side tables near the chairs we sit in most often. The arms of the chairs are thick and rounded so trying to balance a plate or a drink usually ends in disaster. These trays are a godsend. They are attractive and sturdy and have a strong enough grip to handle mugs of coffee and glasses of wine with confidence. This is a great arm-chair tray. The lip that is on it keeps my small crochet tools from falling into the side of the couch. It even came with a coaster to secure my beverage. It is large enough for several items. I love it.

When I first ordered these, I thought they were such an awesome solution to my problem. I did not want to have to put tables on each side of my couch. However, every single one breaks- just snaps cleanly through the middle of the wood where it holds on to the couch. I've had three of them replaced.
