So far so good, my xbox i got brand new on April of last year just randomly gave out on me and the repair guy couldn't figure out what was wrong, so it lead me to buying this renewed xbox from the brain game. It was very well packaged and almost looks brand new. The controller is in very good condition and the cords seem brand new. I will update if anything ever happens to it. I ordered this XBox July 17, 2024, for my son's birthday. It arrived and he downloaded his games. The Xbox will start loading a game, but it never launches the game so you can actually play it. The item was under warranty with Microsoft. We started the repair process with Microsoft. It is now February 20, 2025, and we have yet to get an Xbox that works. We have returned the item for service four times. Each time they return it with a checklist saying it is fixed. Each time it has the same issue. They claim they have sent a new Xbox twice, but we don't have proof of different serial numbers. We now take a photo of the serial number each time we send it in for repairs so we can determine if it is the same box or not. The last time my husband spoke to Microsoft, they said they would just replace it. Again, they sent the same box back. It is extremely frustrating and each time you call or email, you have to start the whole story over again. They give us "case" numbers, but they keep closing them or "escalating" the case and getting a new number. Meanwhile, we have paid for a product that has never worked and our son is just using his old Xbox which works fine, but doesn't play some newer games he has. Shipment was delayed supposed to come in on sunday came on Thursday. Did come in thought UPS not amazon. At first of putting in power cord and HDMI cord ( HDMI cord did work) it would not turn on, but after inserting and plugging the power cord of the xbox off and on several times it did eventually work and then turned on. When it turned on it did restart itself twice but after worked completely normal. After all that no issues came from the xbox. Games like college football and Jedi Survivor has worked smoothly and download speed runs fast. Actually would recommend especially during prime day. A Xbox S 1TB was 350 no shipping while this on prime day in 2024 was 400 with shipping so definitely worth but can be risky with all the other reviews in place. Came in and looked brand new, as if it wasn't even used. Everything was fine on it but the only problem was the disc drive sounds like a jet engine when installing games which i believe could've been the reason it was renewed/refurbished.
