  • Story Mode and Invasions are Highlights
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Premium Edition
Mortal Kombat 1 on Xbox Series X and PS5 is an absolute blast! From the moment I started playing, I was drawn into the game's awesome and hilarious story. The developers have really outdone themselves in creating a narrative that keeps you engaged while delivering some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments. It's a perfect balance of epic battles and witty dialogue. One of the standout features of Mortal Kombat 1 is the Invasions mode. It's incredibly fun and adds a unique twist to the traditional Mortal Kombat gameplay. Invasions is the new single-player take on the Krypt built kind of like a board game or world map and it has a set of seasonal boards that change every 45 days or so and an associated shop full of cosmetics to buy with seasonal currency (for no additional real money, showing off one of the palettes in the screenshot). The game's Kameo characters are an absolute treat for long-time fans of the franchise. Seeing familiar faces from different realms and timelines join the fray is a nostalgia trip like no other. Moreover, the gameplay itself feels incredibly satisfying. The responsiveness of the controls and the fluidity of the combat make every punch, kick, and special move a joy to execute. And of course, the graphics on the Xbox Series X and PS5 are stunning, bringing the characters and environments to life in breathtaking detail. Mortal Kombat 1 is a must-play for fans of the series and newcomers alike, delivering an unforgettable fighting game experience. ... show more

  • AWESOME!
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Premium Edition
Great game, even if it is different than the last installment, still gets the job done. Great pacing, mechanics and it’s just beautiful to look at. Some quirks here and there but it’s a game that everyone should pick up ! 100/10!

  • Lives up to the hype
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Premium Edition
My only gripe is the premium content characters are not available at launch, but some thorough research would definitely let you know this, I had pre-ordered it before the game was released but I'm definitely looking forward to being able to play as Peacemaker and Homelander. Shang Tsung was a solid pre-order bonus. The new fatalities seem to be splashy graphic and honestly are a little bit overkill pun intended. ... show more

  • This game is NOT good, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Premium Edition
I was so excited for a new MK and especially on the latest xbox console. It takes forever to install this game then once installed the graphics are junk, this game is totally not worth buying, renting or even a free demo if it may be available. The announcer lady is super irritating and I did not see a way to get rid of her. I would say this game graphics and all go back to the first ever MK that was great at the time but this one definitely stinks. If I could give this zero stars I would but I can't. This game is hugely disappointing for a next gen game. ... show more

  • So exited but disc won’t finish downloading
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Premium Edition
So I’m a huge MK fan and was so excited for this especially with the addition of Homelander and being able to fight with Shane Tsung and a lot of other people. Unfortunately, the disk version stopped at 40% and then it Stop downloading. I restarted my system and it got all the way up to 84.9% and stopped again. After multiple tries to re-install And uninstall also restarting the whole console. I just ended up buying the digital version. I’m not Sure if this is a known issue, but I looked at all the Xbox blogs and other help forum that listed possible work arounds and still nothing worked. I even wired my connection through the Ethernet cord and it still stopped downloading. ... show more
