This thing has so many games so many from my past pick this up for the kids, but not gonna lie I’ve had more fun reliving some of the games I’ve played back in the day. The quality of the screen is great. The controllers work perfectly the menu, however, is a little difficult to understand, especially since I’m not someone that reads manuals takes a little while to get used to the navigation and how to switch between games but once you find the game you’re off to the races charge as well battery for me was not as great as what I’ve liked it but all in all good pick up ... show more

This is a really great device, comes packed with great games and they all run great! I love that game boy games are adjusted to the screen size, and it really does run smoothly for all games I’ve tried.

Not sure about this handheld. It is like others in which it is pre-loaded with emulators and associated roms. 5800 of them! Like others there are a majority of duplicates and foreign language games. I found some had to be customized for the controls and others couldn't be. It does have the power for most games. The biggest disappointment it that the 64gb card is almost full, so adding video or music is really a not doable. There is also no way to really change things without manual modification of java files which is really a negative item. I would rather have a device where I can delete most nonsense items and be able to add my own. Improvement to the interface would make this a 5 star item. ... show more

Right out the gate, I can tell you this is the Powkiddy X70. Why they don't call it this, or mention it anywhere in the listing, or in the box itself is curious. The device is super light, but doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. It also came with a screen protector pre-installed, which is a nice touch, however if the second included screen protector is any indicator, it's only to prevent scratches and will not hold up to any blunt force at all. So be careful with the screen. Speaking of, the screen itself has terrible viewing angles, but if you look at it straight on it looks good enough. Sound seems good on all the games I tested, but do note that mine came with the volume on max and it's LOUD. So turn the volume down from the main menu before going into any games. All the systems/games I tried worked well enough for a device in this price range, which is nice. What not nice is that the aspect ratio is locked at 16:9 with no way to change it. For PlayStation games, this isn't too big of a deal, most of them look fine like this. But for most of the systems included, I'm not a fan of the look. It would be easy to fix and it would actually make the games run better, so it's odd that there's not at least an option for it. I feel like a firmware update, or even a custom firmware at some point in the future could improve a lot of small things about this device, but as is it still makes a fun little system to play retro games on. Three stars seems too low, and four seems too high, all things (mainly price) considered, but I'll give it a low four as it stands right here and now. I got the cheaper on and only the first file had all the games in it. All the other gaming folders were empty which means that no game files were downloaded into them, or they only had a handful of games. I contacted the seller and they sent a new one but I had the same issue with the second one, the same files were missing. So no, I did not get the number of games it claims to have. ... show more

This gaming console contains over 5,000 old 8-bit/16-bit arcade games so you do get quantity. As for the hardware, the plastic casing feels of a decent quality. The screen is a good size with good backlighting. The controls are responsive. The unit as a whole is not very heavy, so easy to hold for long periods while playing. I wouldn’t trust it not to break from a serious drop or misuse. The software is what it is — old arcade games from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Some of the games are better than others and you’re pretty much on your own to figure out the gameplay. Couldn’t expect them to include instruction manuals for over 5,000 games, though! I did find one file that was corrupted — Home Run World Series — so there may be more. I did try a handful and all of the others worked fine. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. It seemed like they wanted me to do something with a protective screen cover. I was supposed to take off the protective screen that it shipped with and replace it with one that was in the package, but the new one was too small and didn’t adhere. At least that’s what I think they wanted me to do. Basically plan on figuring it all out on your own because the translations don’t always make sense. I did not test the memory expansion. Overall, seems like a decent product if you’re nostalgic for those old games and don’t mind spending $80 for the handheld experience. ... show more
