  • Perfect beginner drone for kids and adults alike!
I've purchased 2 different types of drones from Amazon and although the first was a little sleeker and more expensive. This one is definitely my children and husband's favorite drone. It has a much simpler design than some of the more complex drones on the market but that doesn't take away from it being fun and easy to use. It comes with directions, however the learning curve with this is minuscule to the point that you could figure it out on your own, my 10 year old did. My children love the flashing neon lights, the fact that it has assisted lift off/landing and even more so how easy it is to fly. The only complaint is that it doesn't have a very long flight time, it was something like 15-20 minutes, be that as it may, it certainly hasn't taken away from my child's enthusiasm to play with it. So I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a starter drone. ... show more

  • My kiddo loves it!
My 4 years old always wants a drone, so I got him this one after all, he had a blast of playing with it, especially when the drone does 360 flip, it is really cool. Very easy to operate, kids friendly. Two batteries are good enough for playing around 30 mins. Good quality.

  • It’s OK but not great
The drone looks awesome, especially with its flashing LED’s. My two dislikes were if there was the slightest breeze it would drift off course and it didn’t have the power to compensate. The other thing was it’s battery life. It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, but each one only lasted about 8 minutes before needing recharging. ... show more

  • Didn't even last a week.
This drone was super fun for my kids, but didn't even last a week. Seems one of the motors has stopped working.

  • Teenagers loved it!
This drone set was a huge hit with our teenagers! The set was exactly as described and worked like a charm. The LED lights were a nice touch and I loved that it is easily rechargeable with the two batteries that are included. It also comes with extra propellers, a remote controller, and a manual. It was a very welcomed gift and they have really enjoyed learning to fly it. ... show more

  • So Simple a First Grader Can Fly It - Adults Love it Too!
Hands-down one of the coolest things you can find on Amazon for under thirty bucks. And a perfect all-around gift. Because anyone from grade-schoolers to grown-ups (at least ones like me) would enjoy it. Compared to almost every other mini-drone we've ordered over the years, this one is actually easy to control. Looking at the controller, it's easy to be intimated, at first. It's got as many buttons as an X-Box controller. My first thought when unboxing it was "MAYBE I can figure this out, but our kid will never be able to." This is one of those situations where I'm glad I was wrong, and I'll explain why. Setup is a breeze. Add four AAA batteries (not included) to the remote controller. They even included a tiny screwdriver to remove the back of the remote. Set the drone on the floor, press the power button. Switch the remote on, wait for a beep, and then point each "joystick" towards each other at a slightly downward angle. That's it, you're now connected. Now all you have to do, is PUSH down (not pull down) on your left joystick, and the drone goes straight up. Use the left joystick to lower it back down to the level you want it at. Then use the right joystick to take it in the direction you want to go. It's really that easy. If you run into any trouble, just push the emergency stop button (lower right on the front of the remote) and it instantly stops the drone. Since this little thing is built pretty tough, it can easily handle a bunch of falls. But just to be safe, they even include spare propellers if you need to swap any out. Here's my favorite part...... The 360 degree flip is FOOLPROOF. With other drones, it takes a lot of work to master fancy flips. But with this one, it's basically programmed to flip for you. It took a minute for me to figure out how to actually activate the flip. But once I figured it out, I was doing them over and over. All you do is keep the drone hovering at a decent height (not too close to the ceiling). Press the 3D Flip button on the front. But then WAIT a second for the remote to beep. Once you hear the beep, all you do is tap your right joystick in any direction. The drone waits a beat, and then quickly does this awesome flip in the air. And you can do them back to back, as long as you stick to those two simple steps (3D Flip button, wait for beep, push joystick). It's easier for kids to pilot than you'd think. I showed our Little Girl ONCE how to pair the remote to the drone. How to do a liftoff. And how to control it. Because you can keep the speed at a reasonable rate, she had no problem piloting it around the living room. Sure, she had a couple of little bumps against the wall. Because you have to get the hang of reverse-controls. Pull the joystick one way, it travels the other way. But once you realize that, it's easy to use. Then came what I thought would be the tricky part..... I figured our Daughter could easily master just buzzing around the room. But would she get the 3D flip right? After all, you have to remember where all the buttons are. FIRST TRY. She got it on the first try, after I showed her. 3D Flip button, wait for beep, tap the right joystick. She couldn't stop giggling, she had a blast making it do flips. This was a trick that I myself could barely do with many of the past drones we've owned. But here she is, getting this thing to do perfect flips (Granny couldn't believe it was our Daughter actually controlling it). Battery life is better than expected. You get a battery that powers the drone, and a backup battery. You have to actually pull the little block battery out of the drone to charge it, with a basic USB cable (cable included, block wall charger isn't). We got more fly time out of one battery than I had expected, honestly. Once it died, it only takes a few seconds to pop the dead battery out, and pop the charged one in. So within 30 seconds, you're back to flying again. Unlike most mini-drones, this one won't go flying wildly around the room if there's a tiny breeze from your AC/Heat vents. But it obviously flies best in a room with no air movement whatsoever. WAIT - BEFORE YOU BUY IT, GET ONE MORE THING! If you're gifting this to someone, do them a HUGE favor. When you add this to your shopping cart, add a pack of AAA batteries. Remember, the remote control takes four of them. Not everyone keeps a stash of AAA batteries around their home. And nothing will make a kid more sad than getting an awesome new toy like this, but no batteries to immediately fly it. So if you don't want the parents having to steal batteries out of their TV remotes, or drive to the store to even find batteries around the holidays (good luck), just send the batteries along with the drone. It's only a few bucks more, why not add a four pack to your order before checking out? SHOULD YOU BUY IT? No question about it, get it. It's less than what it costs to have a couple of pizzas delivered. But the amount of fun you'll get out of using it, you can't put a price on that. Easy to use. Great fun indoors. No limit to all of the "challenges" you can create with it (flying through hoops, under things, landing on certain things). I love flying it, our Daughter has an absolute blast flying it. Probably be one of the most fun things a kid (or a grown-up like me) has gotten as a gift in years. Add it to your cart now, before these things sell out. ... show more
