Description

The Comrade X is an 18′ two-man ladderstand featuring our revolutionary jaw safety system. Hunt at ease knowing your stand is safe and secure before you leave the ground. The v-shape platform and seating configuration provides a truly unique hunting experience. Independent comfort- flex mesh seats provide ultimate comfort for 2 hunters. Each seat is angled out for a different hunting field of view. The comrade features a middle console for quick access of equipment and hunting accessories. Two independent and fully adjustable shooting rails for each hunter flip back or can be fully removed. Shooting rail and armrests are padded and camo covered for ultimate silence and comfort. The Comrade Xalso features these great x-stand features; stealth silencers, helix tubing, & weather defender powdercoat.

I ordered this for a stand that my son and I could use to hunt this season. It was a little difficult to get stood up, so be sure to have some help, but, once I had it up and pulled the jaws tight onto the tree, it was already more secure than I'd have thought it could've been. After climbing up and attaching the ratchet straps, this turned out to be an amazingly stable setup. The mesh style seat also off one of the most comfortable seating setups I've ever been in. Great stand to bow hunt from. Deep platform for security while standing. Comfortable, wide seats for long hours in the stand, even has cup holders! Strong tubing and stabilizer system. So good we chained it to the tree so it wouldn't "grow legs" and walk away. Love it and fully expect years of happy hunting. ... show more

    • Best 2-seat treestand on the market
First, I did not get any coupons or gift cards to write this review. I am writing this review because I assembled this stand and have sat in it four times now. So, the assembly was time consuming and requires two people. The instructions could be a little clearer, maybe a larger pamphlet so the text is bigger and more room for the diagram, but overall it was fine. Even when I scratched my head and thought "it can't go together like this in this sequence", sure enough it worked. Once the stand was up it is secured tightly with three different points. I really like this. The straps that come around from the top and loop the tree to be secured at the lower part of the ladder creates excellent torque that prevent the stand from moving at all. At first it looked a little over-engineered but I realize the importance now. My hunting partner is 190 but I come in at 245, and that's not accounting for our gear. This thing does not BUDGE when we each climb into it, nor when we sit down or shift. The foam could be thicker, but this can be replaced. The arm rails are wide and long, and I like this compared to other stands I have owned. The seats are comfortable, but I waterproofed everything prior to assembly and I feel confident I'll get many years out of this stand. The Camo pattern is my only true dislike. It is ridiculous looking in my opinion, but again can be easily replaces with something more to my liking. Also, there are no additional nuts or bolts. You get exactly what is required for assembly. If you lose something in the leaves, you're headed to the hardware store. Didn't happen to me, just warning you. Lastly, I scoured all stores and the internet. Noone could come close to this price. If you would like a stand that is expensive and cannot stand up to elements for less than a year I recommend this stand. Not only will you not receive call back or support from sportsman guide, they will give you wrong email address to reach out to manufacturer with. Multiple attempts to get corrected since May and still not resolved. ... show more

    • Great Stand
This stand is fantastic. I shared this stand with my Niece, Dad, and Brother throughout this past hunting season. It is a great design for a two seat stand. It is an improvement over a bench type two person stand. One of the best features is the independent shooting rails. I am 6'5" hunting with my 9 yo niece. We cannot share a shooting rail well on a bench type stand so being able to set ours differently is a huge advantage. The table in the middle is great for those small odds and ends to sit. My binos, a cup of coffee, my phone all have a spot in arms reach. The only complaint I have is the seat backs could be taller. Because of the seat design you cannot lean up against the tree you are attached to. If I am doing an all day hunt, i want to lean back at some point in time, and this does not provide the support to do so. Otherwise, this is a fantastic product. Took two men to install with the assistance of the Guide Gear Ladder Tree Stand Installation Hoist System. The stand was attached to the tree prior to climbing to the platform. Never felt unsafe during the entire installation. I actually danced on the platform and it was solid and soundless. Would highly recommend to everyone interested in a two person ladder stand. This stand is a nightmare to install in a tree. I wish i could return it. You need 5 people to stand this thing up, i do not feel safe in it. I had holes drilled in wrong locations on lower bark biters, what a mess.

cant give 5 stars as i havent installed yet but assembly went as planned, it took a bit of time and it was 90 degrees so less than desirable but it looks awesome and i am excited to get in a tree so now that it is in a tree i will say bring help to get it up i had three friends help me and it wasnt too bad only complaint i have is that the ladder didnt line up when all said and done had to drill new hole in the very top step to get it all together but other than that very comfortable stand plenty high and very stable ... show more
