Well, if you're like me and have been chasing your furniture around the room because it moves like a 3 year old on a sugar bender, these are your solution. After installing solid floors (lvp), our couch and loveseat would move if you even thought about sitting on them. Not only is it a pain to constantly be moving everything back into position, it can actually scratch the floor from all that sliding. These pads went on in about 60 seconds and immediately fixed the problem. The adhesive is strong, but I do suggest at least wiping down the surface of the feet of your furniture before applying them. Once installed, they do a great job of keeping your furniture in place with the added benefit of protecting your floor. I bought a new sectional for my family room in April. The delivery guy applied some round furniture guards and pads on the feet of my new furniture to protect my wood floor and keep the sectional in place. Our family spend a lot of time together in the family room - however we found out that with the 5 of us spending time on the sectional , it never stays in place and we had to constantly reposition the sectional , otherwise none of us will be comfortable lounging in the family room. It was so annoying and was taking too much of our time . I searched online to find the best pads/guards that will keep the sectional in place and immovable. We just got a new couch, and we have hardwood floors. Our old couch was very deep/wide, so that we were able to rest the front legs on the area rug in our living room. But the new couch is much smaller, and had to rest on the hardwood floor - every time we sat down, the thing slid, and every time we stood up, it slid even more! We were getting tired of moving it around - and risking scrapes to the hardwood. We got these grippers, and they worked perfectly!! We were hoping that, even if they didn't keep the couch in place (on hardwood, it's hard to know what will stick and what won't), but at least we wouldn't have to worry about scratching the hardwood any more. But to our surprise and delight, the couch has stayed firmly in place since we put these on the feet!! We have a recliner in the corner of our living room located in front of a glass sliding door. Our son is 4 years old and likes to run and crash into the chair. I was really afraid he would eventually push the chair so far it would crash and break the glass door. We bought these non slip pads knowing they would need to be cut and hoping they would work to hold the chair in place on two different surfaces. The front of the chair base is on an area rug, the back of the chair base is on vinyl flooring. It works perfectly on both surfaces! I just received this today and immediately opened to use it. After I affixed these to the first two legs of my cabinet. I moved the cabinet slightly to lift And stick them for the remaining 2 legs and the product disintegrated and gave skid marks to my new flooring. I had to scrub it off to remove the stain. This is frustrating because my cabinet was heavy. I was going to use this product for our other much heavier furnitures, given this experience it may not even hold the much heavier furniture. I picked this product because it’s product description specifically emphasized “especially for HEAVY furniture. Maybe I just got an old stock. Products shouldn’t stain any type of flooring. Time will tell if these hold up to daily use but I needed these for my sectional that would not stay still on our hardwood floors! I flipped the sectional over, removed the nailed on floor protectors that were causing us so much grief, and stuck these square pads on. Things were going good until I had to flip the sectional back over and realign the metal locking tabs. Picking up the pieces from one end and having to scoot it over just enough to get the tabs in line was surprisingly difficult. After a few minutes of trying, I decided to just wait for help.
