My daughter wanted an incubator for her birthday. She's 8. I didn't want to spend a fortune. I also ordered her 15 quail eggs. Out of the 15. 4 hatched. Not a great start but that's what you get when trying to hatch shipped eggs. I put a dozen eggs from my chickens in. 12 total. 11 out of 12 started to develope. I replaced 1. Then about a week later another egg "quit" I also replaced that egg. Since all of the eggs were laid at different dates I had my Kebonnixs 12 set up for the final days. When they got close to hatch day I switched them over so that the others could continue turning. Out of the 10 eggs 8 have hatched, one fully developed died halfway through hatch, and one more is hatching. The remaining 2 that weren't ready to switch over are developing beautifully in this incubator. I'm shocked that such a cheap incubator is doing so well. We're on a month and a half of constant use and it's still going strong. Just added 7 more eggs in the last few days. We'll see next month! Will update my review then. Otherwise, this tiny incubator is GREAT! It doesn't have a hydrometer but you can buy one super cheap to add into it. I've had very expensive ones with all the bells and whistles completely fail. The temperature has stayed accurate. I absolutely love the water delivery system. It's way easier than my more expensive kebonnixs water well. Definitely recommend this one! ... show more

I love my incubator. Ice already hatched 6 chickens successfully. However this is my 3rd batch and the turner gets stuck on occasion and won't turn the eggs regularly. And it also needs an inner rim or intention for the eggs, so once you take out the turner, the eggs won't roll off the side. Other than that, the price is RIGHT and it's a great product ... show more

This is my experience with hatching button quail. I’ve had the eggs in there for 1 night and I lost 4 of them completely. Some of the others may not make it because they had gotten stuck to the grate in yolk-y mess and I had to pry them off as gently as possible. The turner does not work for button quail. My eggs got demolished in there. The lid is hard to get on and off without causing the eggs to bash around. It clicks in and has no way to grip it to take it off without causing a mess. You also can’t just lay the lid on top because it needs to have a seal for the humidity to stay in. I’ve used this for one day and a good portion of my eggs are lost now. At this point I’m not sure if the rest will hatch. I am very disappointed. I’m sure for more hard eggs, like duck, would do just fine in there. This is a big no-no for small eggs. ... show more

Other than I wish I could find this brand in a BIGGER egg holding size, the fact that it NEEDS to ADD humidity reader too.... this incubator was AMAZING 👏 My kids and I LOVED watching our own babies hatch!!! We incubated Seramas and Satin/Silkie babies!!! Worked like a charm, I just bought my own humidity reader, temp was consistent as well. 100% hatch rate!!!! ... show more

This little incubator is great!! Especially for the first timers or someone who doesn't needs to hatch out 100s of birds. Spot on temperature. straight out of the box. Yes it only shows Celsius...who cares!? It works perfectly for my Serama. Turner worked great. Every egg I have put in has hatched to date The water bottle holder is a bit sketchy as others have mentioned however I live in the desert and still had no need to top it off for the 21 day incubation period. You certainly can just pour the water into the bottom and forgo the holder...I didn't leave a bottle attached. I just added it as needed and it really wasn't needed for my run. I have 2 other incubators..a very very large cabinet incubator that cost north of $1k and a Hovabator which for Styrofoam and a heating element it still cost nearly $200. Neither of those are as easy as this little incubator and they take up a huge amounts of room. I have a tiny home and space is a premium. Overall you simply cannot beat the price of this amazing little incubator. Being able to view the hatch easily is awesome and especially fun for the kids to witness the miraculous event of hatching. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The first time I tried to incubate I didn’t have any success. The automated turner was broken. The second time I had much more success! I would suggest buying an alternate thermometer that measures temperature and humidity. The temperature gauge is a bit off.

Heat stays constant. Placed 6 eggs and got 6 chicks. Only thing do not like is watering system for humidity. Ended up pouring water directly into base. Otherwise a trustworthy unit with an outstanding price. Highly recommend.
