Description

Time to wreck the competition! This assortment of WWE Wrekkin' figures (each is approximately 6-inches) features top talent WWE Superstars with one of three distinct action moves: slamming, punching or kicking. Each figure comes with a "wreckable" accessory like a ladder, breakable table or chairs. Moves are activated by a pull-back motion to get the action going and figures also feature a "lock tight grip" that allows them to grasp the accessory and hold it tight. Accessories are easy to reassemble so kids can play out the wrecking action again and again. Choose from John Cena, Matt Hardy, Undertaker, AJ Styles and other marquee Superstars!     • Can You Smell What The Rock is Wrekkin?
I've seen and handled my fair share of action figures over the years. WWE Wrekkin The Rock Action Figure by Mattel has a couple of very unique and entertaining features. His thumb, palm and wrist are separated by a spring from the rest of his four fingers. This allows The Rock to be able to hold a variety of objects, including his breakaway guardrail that is included in the package. He also has a spring mechanism in his arms for slamming action. They can each move independently at the shoulder joint, but when they are retracted behind his head, they release on a spring in tandem so he can slam a variety of objects. There is a hinge joint at the shoulder that also swings back for the before mentioned slamming action spring mechanism. His wrists twist completely around. His head twists completely around. There is a partial swing joint mid-torso, the waist twists at a joint above his brief line, each leg has a swing joint at the hip so his leg can move front to back. There is also a hinge joint at the knee above his knee pads. The knee joints were stiff but quickly loosened with some light effort. I'm very impressed with the articulation of this figure, he can make and hold a wide variety of poses. His sculpt is excellent, he really does resemble Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" accurately. He has a shaved head and smiling face, complete with smile lines, which is a nice variation from the usual facial expression of most WWE figures. Plastic coloring is accurate to The Rock. He has elbow pads sculpted to the figure as well as knee pads. His briefs look accurate to his costume. His boots feature good sculpting detail, including laces. The paint is accurate and detailed. His left shoulder sports an impressive and intricate replica of his Samoan tribal tattoo as well as a second tattoo, his former Brahma bull, on his right biceps that is as accurate as I have ever seen replicated on a mass-produced figure. I found the package easy to open, I simply broke a few pieces of tape, unfolded the box and clipped away a few plastic tabs to release the figure and his breakaway guardrail. He is displayed on a cardboard stand printed with a checkered galvanized sheet metal pattern. We saved this piece from the packaging for play for the wrestler figures and possible shelf display. WWE Wrekkin The Rock Action Figure is also packaged in a way that many adult collectors may appreciate. He looks nice in his original display, and would not look out of place among an adult-owned collection. This is a very nice toy for any kid age 6 and up that is not prone to putting their toys or other random objects in their mouth. He is constructed well for rough play, but could be broken apart into small pieces with enough force. I find The Rock on par with the quality that is standard from Mattel. He should withstand a long life of rough play. Overall, this is a very nice toy. The price point, considering his action features and included breakaway guardrail prop, make for a good value. It would be a very nice gift, but the packaging would be difficult to wrap without an outer box. It may be better presented in a gift bag. Thank you for reading my review.     • Great Action Figure For the Wrestling Fan !!!
This is a great action figure and a decent likeness to The Rock. Especially the tattoos. Pros: - Great Likeness - Kung-Fu Style Gripping Hands - Slamming Arm Action Cons: - Not fully articulate What the product comes with: - 1 The Rock Action Figure - 2 Piece Baricade "Can you smell what The Rock is cooking". I can and this is a great nostalgia piece for my younger days watching him in the WWF and later in WWE. The figure offers a couple of unique features. First The Rock has a sort of kung-Fu grip. His fingers are spring loaded and set against the thumb. So he is able to grasp items like the included barricade. The second feature is that the arms can be drawn up in the same type of spring loaded action and slammed down. So he can double arm slam another figure or slam down the barricade. The arms work together so they do not articulate separately with regard to the slamming action. You can force them to but I would think too much of that would wear out the ratchet mechanism that drives the slamming motion. The head can be articulated and there is minimal movement in the torso. Legs have roughly the same articulation as the arms. Just at different points. One thing the figure has that is a grin. The photo on the box is more reminiscent of The Rock and his attitude than the actual smile on the action figure's face. If I had one criticism it would be that. He should have The Rock's raised eyebrow or just the mean face. NOT a smile. However, it is just a great piece and one of the better 'Rock' action figures that I have seen.
