I have to give this chandelier 4 stars because the materials are so chincy and the price is so high. The metal frame is so thin and weak that it could very easily be damaged. Installing it was also time consuming and tedious. Despite all that, once finished I absolutely love it. It is so pretty and the light that it gives off with all of the shadows from the crystals is just gorgeous and it gives me warm happy vibes. If the picture of this chandelier caught your eye when you first saw it, get it. This is a modern take on a traditional style chandelier. In my opinion, it resembles a French Second Empire crystal chandelier. This is perfect for a hallway, bedroom, possibly dining room or any room you want to put it. I certainly wouldn’t hang it on a porch though because these do get fly specks on them and would need more frequent cleaning than indoors. Also, I would think that being outdoors and more subject to the weather, the crystals could either fall off and break, or the electricals might not be as weatherproof as a fixture designed specifically for outdoors. It does come very well packaged and is unlikely to be damaged during shipping. The unit does need assembly and it’s not too hard to put together. The instructions are printed out and put in a plastic sleeve for a extra nice touch. It should provide several years of enjoyment. It comes with many, many crystals and it doesn’t state that they’re lead glass so I assume that they are not. However, they do catch the light. Most crystal chandeliers that I’ve seen use a brass pin that hooks onto where it’s supposed to hang. This has a thin ring, much like a key ring to hang it. I can see this as a problem when trying to remove these to clean. Brass pins made to hang on a chandelier aren’t that expensive. They resemble straight pins and I do recommend replacing the rings with pins before you install this. When you take the crystals off later to clean, it will make life much easier. Not sure how they mean flush mounted. This does hang down and does have a chain that can be shortened if you need it to hang higher. On the whole, this looks very elegant. It looks like it cost a lot more than it did. I do wish that the wiring was copper. It’s silver colored which means it’s not copper. But, it's really not going to cause problems with it. It is lit with three bulbs in the lower center of the unit that I would recommend using dimmable tear drop shaped bulbs. This would look so great in a hallway dimmed low enough that you can just see it lit. The frame on parts of it could be heavier and can bend. However, unless it falls off or someone who doesn’t know how to remove the crystals gets at it, that’s not a problem as I see it. If you have a specific place you want to hang it, measure before ordering it. I was going to put it in the hallway but it hangs a bit too low for that. I may put it in the bedroom as a light fixture can hang lower over the bed and not be in the way. ... show more

This is a very beautiful and elegant chandelier. Installation was easy, when replacing my previous lighting setup. Although the hanging portion was relatively easy, it did take quite a bit of time to assemble the whole thing, but it was definitely worth it. Each and every crystal shimmers with the light. This is gorgeous. So gorgeous, in fact, I am still confused at its price point. I have been trying and failing to find a vintage chandelier that I could safely rewire, and decided to take the risk of ordering a new one. It is SUPER fiddly and time consuming to assemble, note ahead of time that you will need to set aside an hour or two and put on a good show (and ask for help if you’ve got it) to attach every crystal by hand. I’m not mad, though, and keeping it unassembled and individually wrapped meant all of the (not the sharpest but certainly not cheap) prisms came perfectly spotless and chip-free, all several hundred of them. It’s the first thing people see and compliment in my house now, and while I don’t know what I was expecting, it sure wasn’t this level of royal indulgence. ... show more

Its a beautiful, good quality Chandelier. Its traditional yet contemporary and modern looking chandelier. It will be difficult for somebody not to like it. However there are couple of observations. This chandelier is partly assembled. You will still have to put the piece together and since it is made of hundreds of little glass pieces, it is bit time consuming to fully assemble it. Keep at least couple of hours to build this. All the assembly items, tools were provided and I found them to be of good quality. Instructions were provided but could have been little more clear. Price of the product is better than reasonable given the fact that some assembly is required which probably helps to keep the price competitive. Important consideration to maintain this kind of product is they would need to be kept in area where not lots of dust or else it will require lot frequent cleaning. And the cleaning will be tedious given the kind of parts and pieces belong to this product. Nutshell, I loved this product. It will certainly help to enhance appearance of the area you decide to install in. I am glad I got it And I will look for more opportunities to get it. ... show more
