6 foot skinny guy with wide shoulders, a little tight when arms and hands put together, otherwise time will tell. seems built ok after wear for few days, you hear the sound of plastic when moving around, so there is some type of plastic sheet, liner in there. would say its to provide the wind break and to hold in heat. its annoying at first but you get used to it, i guess. so i'm changing my rating from 5 to 4 over the plastic sound. also noticed that the front pocket flap almost feel like the flap is on wrong side,they are on top of pocket and when you put your hand into pocket it feels funny. they put the flap this way to keep water from running into pockets. the front pocket runs at an angle, would be better if they where horizontal they way the pockets are. look real well at photos to see how pockets are on jacket ... show more

Although the jacket fits as expected and is very warm, the zippers could use improvements. The main zipper seems small and light duty, but it's never failed. The zipper for the hood removal could use a snap bottom at the start of the zipper to prevent the zipper from moving and separating the hood from the jacket. Pocket openings could be larger. Nice jacket. Warm. Interior ‘fur’ lining is warm. Cudos for the removable hood. Drawstrings in the correct places. Has nice snow/wind garter feature inside across the back to prevent snow going under up the back at the waist. However, this coat has a flaw. The zipper. It is too ‘small’ and too fine tooth. It is plastic like. Not metal. Due to all this, does not run smoothly up and down. Keeps snagging , getting stuck and caught. This, new, right out of the bag. Zipper pull fob is too small to grasp with fingers, let alone if you have gloves on. If you can live with the zipper issue, you will like this coat. Value for the money. Prime delivered quickly. No issues. Otherwise, coat has good fit/finish. Minus one star for the zippers issues. ... show more

    • Warm, Hooded Coat With Five Zippered Pockets

Overall, I'm well pleased with this coat. It has five zippered pockets: two in the front, one on the right breast, one on the left sleeve, and one inside. All the pockets have zipper closures. The coat seems warm. In Kentucky winter weather with a low temperature in the 20s Fahrenheit and highs in the 30s or 40s I typically wear a t-shirt, flannel shirt, and coat. This coat and hood are warm enough to suit me for this type of weather. The coat zips up, but it also has velcro closures over the zippers. It also has a snap button at the bottom and one at the top. I enjoy having three ways of closing it. The coat seems waterproof. However, I typically carry an umbrella when it rains, so I haven't given it a tough test in the month or so I've had it. I like the bright green color I chose, which makes the coat easy to see. I hope this makes it safer in night and twilight. As I see it, the coat has two significant weaknesses. One is that it has a chemical smell. For lack of a better word, I'll call it a raincoat smell, since I bought a raincoat many years ago that had a similar smell. Washing the coat didn't appear to reduce the smell. But the smell is relatively minor to me. I don't smell it wearing the coat, but if I'm about a foot or so or less away from the main part of the coat while it hangs in the closet, I can smell it. Persons sensitive to smell might find it offensive, but I consider it minor. The other weakness from my perspective is that the hood to the coat has Velcro-type closure. I'd prefer a button that snaps, or better yet two buttons that snap and Velcro in addition. Sometimes the Velcro comes loose if I move my head sharply in certain directions. But overall I'm very pleased with the coat. I hope it serves me well for several years. ... show more
