I was looking for a light but warm winter jacket, so I went with this one. It has sufficient pockets, zipper works well, hood attaches by zipper. The hem drawcord works well, this is nice feature to keep jacket close to the body. This jacket is exactly what I was looking for, its warm enough for 20 degree + or add another layer to stay warm if going to be still outside. If you're out being active, then this would be more than sufficient in less than 20 degrees. It does block wind, it does repel water/snow well. I saw comments in reviews about chemical smell, I did not experience this. I did wash it once & hung it to dry with no issues. My only issue was fit. Size charts listed were confusing, contradicting but based on one of the size charts & my measurements, I ordered an XL. This was too big! I returned it & tried again. I'm 5'8" 170 lbs, normal build.
