  • Wuhan thin crashes ultra responsive light airy
  • Perfect for low volume stations and recording

Description

Wuhan thin crashes are ultra-responsive, light, and airy. This makes them perfect for low-volume live situations as well as for recording. The 15" Wuhan thin crashes are a great hybrid between a soft crash and aloud splash. Each Wuhan crash cymbal is cast from high quality B20 alloy then carefully hand hammered and lathed before receiving a striking brilliant finish. At these prices, most cymbals are made from cheap sheet material, but the Wuhan Traditional crash cymbals are cast from the same B20 alloy used in many of today's high end cymbals. You will not find better quality or nicer sounding cymbals at this price level.

  • Superb Light Crash At A Lovely Price
This cymbal arrived in pristine condition, sealed in a plastic bag, unlike a number of cymbals I've purchased from a well known on-line seller that arrive ostensibly new, in open bags, showing nicks, scrapes and finger prints. The Wuhan 15" Light Ride is a superb cymbal, producing a fast, bright explosive crash with a crisp timbre and quick decay. There is no sonic evidence of "trashiness" or "cheap" qualities. This cymbal registers beautifully on recordings, standing out in the mix and holding its own with other cymbals that cost twice or more than twice as much. I've only been surprised and delighted by the Wuhan cymbals I've purchased. This one is just terrific. Kudos! ... show more

  • Cracked after about 6 hours of playing
Purchased May of 2023, and a small 1/4 inch crack on edge of cymbal found during a studio session (July 7th 2023) . Had only played it for about 6 hours total. Wasn't even a primary cymbal during my sessions. It is marked thin crash and it is not durable for powerful strikes.

  • Beautiful Cymbal
This cymbal may be inexpensive, but it does not look it. I only had room for one more crash cymbal but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars or fit more stands into the kit. The Wuhan 15 inch Thin Crash has a beautiful finish and a very nice sound. The alloy sound is different than solid brass but blended well with my Zildjain 'A' Custom and 'A' Projection Crash cymbals. This one has kind of a clang sounding crash similar to a small china cymbal. Maybe a little trashy in sound quality? I liked it very much but was looking for something different so I returned it. I give it a solid 4 stars rating. Well made and very pretty, I was just looking for a different sound. Peace ... show more

  • Great Sound and Value!
Great sound! It is darker and lower than I thought. It is thinner than my Zildjians, but I really like the sound. It sounds a lot like my 18" Zildjian A (in terms of attack and decay).

  • Very best budget cymbals without a doubt
I've been drumming for 30 years, and have owned Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, and Saluda cymbals in the past. These Wuhan's are without a doubt the very best "budget" cymbals on the market. They are made of the same materials and manufacturing methods as those other brands professional series, high end cymbals. The difference is that these are made in China. I would say these sound most like Zildjian A Custom thin crashes. If you are a tight budget these are your only choice. ... show more
