  • Extremely difficult, but beautiful
Pro's: Beautiful artwork with lots of fun details. Substantial size. Con's: I'm a life-long regular jigsaw puzzler, but I had trouble with this. Many pieces look almost identical and seem to fit, but actually do not. You need to follow the instructions to make sure that you have the exact right piece for each panel, but the instructions are in black and white! The photo is of step one. How am I supposed to find the right pieces for step one among the hundreds of pieces, many with similar shapes, without a clue as to the color of these pieces??? You also need the instructions so that you attach the panels in the correct order. As you build it, you need to be able to have access to the panels you are adding so that you can push the panels together. One part tends to collapse as you push to attach another part. I finally resorted to glueing it together as I will never build it again!. The photos included in the box do not show every part of the castle. I loved doing a 3-D puzzle, but I will not buy this brand again. ... show more

  • NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE
I am 83 and have vision issues but did the three Harry Potter castles in about a week each. This was the hardest of the six I have done. But I just took my time and sorted a lot. You always think there will be missing pieces but so far there never have been. Not for kids unless they are very calm and don't get excited if things don't go well. Have another on order. Been good for my brain. ... show more

  • I love everything about this!!
The media could not be loaded. I love everything about this!! I absolutely love puzzles and wanted a challenge, but I wanted one that was 3-D because I didn't want it to take up my whole table when it was done. I love the foam pieces and I love how detailed and intricate it is! It took me like a month to do, which was perfect because I wanted something to do for my "brain breaks." I marked it as 3 stars for "easy to put together" because it's a puzzle and supposed to be a challenge, but the puzzle pieces fit together fantastic! Some people in the reviews complained about having to separate out the red-dotted pieces but that was part of the fun for me! I'm already planning my next purchase 😆 ... show more

  • Pretty frustrating
I purchased this to build with my sons. The first step for completing this puzzle is sorting through, and throwing away, pieces that don't need to be in there. My kids completely lost interest during this step. I included a picture of a pile of pieces needing to be tossed, right off the bat. That's not even all of them! It seems like a missed opportunity for the company to both hire an unskilled laborer in need of a job and send out a finished product to consumers. Once I was finally finished trashing pieces, I realized the directions for completing the puzzle were trash, as well. They are in black and white- not helpful AT ALL. I tried putting it together, without instructions, for a few days but there was no way I would be able to finish it that way. I had to find color instructions on the internet and print them (after I found a printer). The entire process was so frustrating, and my kids wanted nothing to do with it. It felt more like a chore, in the end, than a fun project. I gave this 3 stars still, because I'm sure there are people who would enjoy putting together a 3D puzzle without instructions. My brain just doesn't work that way. ... show more

  • Challenging, having to follow online diagrams is not fun.
This was my first 3D puzzle in years...I used to do them growing up with the Puzz3D sets. I regularly do 1000 piece+ jigsaw puzzles as a hobby. The major annoyance is unlike the Puzz3D sets which have a back cover showing different views to easily put together your piece, this does not show you anything. It does include a black and white diagram, which for a detailed piece like this, is essentially garbage. I used the front image for a while, then realized Wrebbit has an entire diagram showing every different view to make this easier - it is a LOT of similar-looking gray sections with nuances. Why they couldn't include this color printout or a summary of it is beyond me - it was not fun to have to sit scrolling through a PDF to do this. So you have to sort of make your own plan using different resources, because even their own instructions don't follow a logical order for building a 3D Puzzle. In the end, it stands up fine and looks cool, but just downright cruel to not include a color printout or at the least different views of the final product. ... show more

  • GREAT puzzle - not for the lazy or weak-minded
This is only the second 3D puzzle I've completed and it was great. There are some ridiculous reviews on here saying it's too hard and doesn't have any information, but this is incorrect. There are pictures on the box and there are instructions inside. I didn't even know there were color instructions available online because I had no problem completing this with what was included. It took me less than a week, working a few hours a day, to complete. If you enjoy a challenge and have some time to kill, this a great way to do it. If you're lazy and find pleasure in making excuses, skip it and go back to staring at your phone. ... show more
