    • Only thing that worked to hang my wreath

I have a glass storm door and a very lightweight wreath I wanted to hang. I’ve always used command hooks without issue, but that wasn’t going to be my luck this time… I first tried a command hook rated for 5 lbs without scrubbing down the door. Brand new from the store so it wasn’t an aged strip that had lost its stickiness… Fell within 30 minutes. Figured it was my bad for not cleaning the door thoroughly first. I then tried the same command hook, after wiping down the door. Fell within an hour. I then gave it a day’s rest, and tried a different command strip type (the Velcro kind from a different pack) with the same hook, after wiping down the door with rubbing alcohol. Fell within 2 hours. I was immensely frustrated and ordered this product, expecting the same thing. You may not be able to tell, but the “double suction” they refer to is where it sticks by you pushing it to the surface, AND because the hook locks down to add a second level of suction. I’m thrilled to report that with a simple wipe down (windex only), we are now at over 24 hours without issue. It was extremely easy to put up and feels extremely sturdy. I’m expecting to need to re-suction it occasionally, but that’s standard for suction cups even if well-made. I also like that it’s repositionable without having to get a new command strip every time. I followed the install directions, used the wipes, and my decorative outside door wreath stayed put for two months, until we removed it to wash the glass. Then, I tried to put it back up using a damp cloth. By the end of the day, my wreath had slid down to the bottom of the glass storm door to which it was affixed.🙄. I tried hanging my exterior light weight wreaths with exterior command strips and they kept falling. These bad boys suction on well and have not fallen once since being installed. I have a feeling they hold much heavier items if needed.
