I've always had a clock on my wall in the kitchen-my dad got me one when I moved to this house over 25 years ago. It was nothing special; he probably got it at a garage sale. My dad and that little plastic wall clock passed away a couple of years ago. I have a digital clock on my oven and another one on my microwave, but I always looked up at that wall clock and it was time to put something back in that empty space. Beautiful large display and completely silent. The mounting hardware is a bit dismal however. A plastic hook is provided with four tiny nails that are only maybe 1/2-inch in length. You are to nail these through the plastic hook and into your wall. There really isn't much nail left to go into your wall after putting it through the plastic hook, so I'm not sure this will even hold this lightweight clock. If you are nailing this directly into wood, it might work, but if you are nailing it into drywall, I think your clock will be on the floor in a matter of hours. Five stars on the clock; zero stars on the mounting hardware. I used my existing mounting bracket to hang this so it wasn't an issue for me, but something I wanted to note. ... show more

It was a little slow when it arrived, but…(jk). It needs one (not rechargeable) AA battery, and it's up and running. It is silent, as described, and is so far keeping time (i.e. doing its job). The numbers are a nice serif font, which adds a touch of class, and are easy to read from a distance. I do wish that the black plastic were more matte instead of shiny, because the shininess cheapens it a bit aesthetically in my opinion, but it doesn't look bad. It feels pretty sturdy, so it will probably last a long time if you don't throw it on the ground! It's currently $12, which I think is a good deal. It was around $17 before, which seems a bit high, so if this clock suits your needs — I'd try to get it when it's lower! All in all, a nice buy. ... show more

This clock looks exactly like the ones I had while I was in school. Works good, and was perfect when taking out of the box. Lightweight so you could even use a tac to hang it up, I don't really recommend that you hang it like that, but still. lol

It is very normal clock, no fancy design, could not be a decoration. The problem with most inexpensive clocks is that they make a loud "ticking" sound. We made an earlier mistake and bought one for our home office. It was so annoying that we moved it to the garage. Buy this large wall clock from Woophen and, presto, the ticking problem is solved. After installing and using this wall clock for several days, here are some important features worth noting: 1. It is quiet and its hands move smoothly...not clicking from one second to the next. Peaceful. 2. At 10 inches, it is large enough to be mounted on a wall without serving as its centerpiece. 3. Installation is easy. Insert one battery, affix the hanger to wall, affix the clock to hanger. Done. 4. The price is easy on the pocket book (regularly $12, but generally offers 20% coupon). 5. The numbers are large, as are the minute marks, so telling time is easy, especially for older eyes. Two things to note. It does not come with the single AA battery you need. Also, the white hanging hook is cheesy. It provides you with four incredibly tiny nails to use around the perimeter of the hook mechanism. Forget that, just use a nice little penny nail with a flat head in the center hole and be done. These are not a big deal. The big deal is the good clock at a great price. ... show more
