Description

Spinrite Router Mounts are built from the ground up to deliver optimum performance in a router lift or a small shop CNC. It starts with industrial CNC-grade ER20 collets, a carefully machined internal taper on the shaft, and a precision collet nut. These three critical components combine to deliver significantly less run-out than the most popular 3HP class routers on the market. Then, there’s infinite speed control from a low of 10,000 rpm to 22,000 rpm. When you turn the Spin-Rite on, you’ll notice the soft-start feature ramps the speed up smoothly, saving wear and tear on both the router and the lift (or gantry). Once it’s at speed, you’ll notice minimal vibration and 75% quieter operation. It all comes together to deliver a better surface finish, less operator fatigue and longer tool life.

    • Strong and light but a little skinny...
The media could not be loaded. So I own a 4'6"x 97' 3 axis cnc router that came with the PC 7518. 4 years and sets of brushes later, it's due for an overhaul. I bought this one due to the reviews. First of all, it is not quite the 4.2" diameter as advertised. Its a good .010" smaller and would not stay stable in my carriage. To remedy this, I used two leaves from a feeler gauge, .006" and .004", and tucked them between the motor and carriage. That solved that problem. Next, the cord is quite short at 36". I had to buy an appliance cord to reach the power supply of the cnc table. Upon dismounting the PC, I found the Spinright to be considerably lighter than the PC. My initial thought was that it'll be easier on the x and z servos and the report from said servos was observable. Upon mounting and running I found the soft start to be slightly disconcerting as it takes a little while to get going but does get up to speed nicely. Ultimately, I have found the Spinrite to be a superior motor even to the PC when new. It does not bog nearly as much as the PC ever did, (a function of the soft start mechanism) doesn't get nearly as warm, has a tighter sound and i really appreciate the ER20 collets. There's much more variety in collet availability alone without having to get adapters. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.     • Blows my old PC 7518 out of the water!!!
Looked at multiple replacements for my old 7518 router motor. Nothing had what I would call good reviews. Except for the Spin Rite. That joggled a memory that it is sold by Woodpecker Woodworking where I got my PRL-V1 router lift a couple decades ago. (Actually, their price saved me the tax over purchasing it here.) Came in last week and I finally took the time to install it in the lift and do a test cut on some 1/4" ABS with an Infinity 1/8" round over bit. WOW!!! That is quieter than my 7518, 7529, or even the Hitachi 1.75 routers EVER WERE. Perfect edge routing in ABS!!! Don't waste your time or money on the other 3.25 routers.
