This thermometer is easy to read, and has a strong magnet to connect to the steel on the wood stove. The color ranges make it easy to see the general temperature from a distance. I apparently got my stove too hot because all the paint was cooked into one consistent color. It still seems to work, I just cannot see the color shading like when it was new. I inadvertently ran one past it’s maximum reading. The paint burned off. Try not to do that.

Fir something this simple, you would think they would test the orange paint’s ability to withstand heat. It faded so much after less than a month that it’s hard to tell the difference

    • Good product for a good price
These thermometers are accurate as far as I can tell. I have had these for about a month now and have had no issues. I put one on the stove top and one on the chimney to help gauge when the damper should be closed. The color of the one on the stove top faded when the Temps got above 900 degrees but still functions as it should. Overall very happy with this purchase ... show more

    • Hard to see needle
I got these and they work fine. The issue is they are hard to read at night and during the day. The needle is not contrasted enough to see it unless pretty close to the stove. I'm returning it for one with more contrast.

    • With two I was able to put on the single wall pipe Before magic box.
The media could not be loaded. As you can see I was able to use in two places .but you can put one on the stove and the flew pipe. Found out I was inefficiently burning at too hot regarding what was safe and effective wood use. Reviewed by; Awkward1
