I used this to shave down tree roots that were lifting up my walkway pavers. The disc grinder let me do the couple of spots that were high, then put them back. I'll tear up the walkway more if needed, but this avoids a lot of work.

Used on mesquite, worked for about 5 minutes then the mesquite ate up the teeth. Seems to be the case with all these types of craving/gouging cutters. I see it working well on softer woods .
