Regular application prevents splitting, cracking, and fraying for long lasting beauty of boards, spoons and butcher block surfaces. Just apply a thin layer of butter wax, let sit to absorb (overnight when possible) and remove with a clean dry paper towel or cotton rag. Its just that simple.

This stuff is...well, like buttah. Smoothly spreading, quickly absorbing buttah. I have 2 very thirsty, very used, very loved bamboo cutting boards, and this conditioner is great for them both. Slather it on before bed, wipe off anything remaining the next morning, then do it again the next day. You'll have a fairly waterproof, protected cutting board (with NO smell!) that functions well, doesn't retain odor or absorb any funky liquids you may spill along the way (no judgement!). A little goes a long way. Clean and dry your board. Take a paper towel or soft cloth, scoop up about a teaspoon of the conditioner, and wipe it on in circular motions till everything is covered. Then leave it be overnight. Usable the next day, but 2 coats works best. Repeat as necessary to keep your best friend in the kitchen moisturized and protected. Great product. ... show more

I hadn't conditioned my cutting board block in 10 years, so I had to slather this on there thick, but it beads water great now. I put one or two layers on my knife handles and cooking utensils as well and they're in good condition now as well. This cutting board wax/paste makes your cutting board and wooden utensils look amazing. I generally wipe down my board as I cook, with a bleach water mixture, just to keep things sanitized. I got this to try and revitalize some of my tobacco pipes that had lost their luster. I chose this wax because of it's reviews, it's a small company, and it's food safe. I wish I had taken pictures. It worked wonders! It pulled out the natural colors, and highlighted the grain in the briar like you wouldn't believe.
