My last watch was a gift for Christmas 23 years ago and the battery died on me a few months ago. Instead of replacing the battery-I never liked the watch anyhow-I was given an Amazon gift card for my birthday and decided to finally buy a new one! So I found this one. It is light weight on the wrist and has BOTH the date AND day functions. I was getting irritated of not knowing what day it was and asking all the time. The watch arrived 1 day before it was estimated-thanks Amazon-but it was hard set the day and date. In the instructions manual it states there are three (3) pulls of the knob to set the date and day. But there are only two!! It took awhile to adjust the day!! While trying to figure this feature out, the day stopped turning!!!!!!!!!! Now it's stuck at a day-in and unknown language-forever!!!!! I wouldn't waste your time on this crud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

I was very pleased to see what a lovely watch this is, considering how little it costs! It looks stylish, arrived well-packaged, and keeps excellent time (well, one week in, anyway!). A couple of things to note: 1.) The band is quite large, but can be adjusted. I have large wrists, and this is even too large for me! (You have no idea how happy that makes me!) They include instructions, and even a tool, to take out links! Nice! 2.) For me (an old lady whose eyesight is getting worse and worse...), the day/date function is useless without a magnifying glass. If that's an important feature for you, and you don't have bifocals, this isn't the watch for you! 3.) It took me a while to set the aforementioned day/date function, but just remember, if you can adjust the hour/minute hands, you've pulled the stem out too far to adjust the day/date. Actually, I gave up trying to get the date set by the stem, and just forwarded the hour/minute hands a bunch of times until I hit the right date. The day, however, CAN be set if you get the stem in just exactly the right place! Sadly, after going through all of that, blind-as-a-bat ME can't read it anyway... *rolls eyes* So, in summary, the watch is beautiful -- but you may have trouble reading the day/date function... ... show more

Ordered this new watch. Beautiful! However, the watch sent to me appeared to have been used, reboxed and then shipped to me as new. The time and day had been already set on the watch. I ordered this watch for every day use and could not be happier with it. The date and day window are tiny, almost impossible to set and hard to read, but I rarely need that help so it's not a big issue. This watch has fit my needs perfectly. It's not fancy but fully utilitarian.

I wasn’t expecting very much when I ordered it but had been looking for a watch with a pink face for a while. Anything decent was at least $100 so I ordered this. I’m really surprised by the appearance and build of the watch. It’s along the same quality as a timex. I have worn it every day for a week now and so far so good. I get lots of compliments and no one can believe it was less than $25. The date is hard to read but it’s a small watch so that is expected.
